不离不弃

It's awkward like it has never been.

Renjun sneaks a peek at Jaemin rubbing his hands on his jeans, and his little shift of the eyes like he's not sure where to look. Look at me! Renjun thinks.

'Uh...'

'What-'

Jaemin looks up, stopping in the middle of whatever he was going to ask. 'Yeah?'

'Ah nothing, what were you going to say?' Jaemin blinks, and Renjun can see him racking his brain for whatever he was going to ask a while ago.

Renjun hides a laugh. Jaemin is so cute like this. Usually he's outgoing, talks non stop even Donghyuck gets annoyed with him. Seeing him like this, Renjun can't help the small happiness that blossoms inside him that whispers 'He's nervous because of me'.

'I was just going to ask what you wanted to order,'

'Ah I'll just have a...', Renjun checks the menu, 'a hot chocolate?' and on purpose tilts his head a little, pouts just that little bit- and Jaemin flushes.

au where nomin are long time friends. one day renjun, transfer student from china joined their school. nomin thinks renjun is cute and adopt him to their friend circle. renjun is happy but sometimes he feels like a third wheel but nomin always ALWAYS assure him that they love him

whn jeno mentions that one time back in first year of high school whn jamein tried to flirt with a girl (and failed) and they were like 'omg remember whn she came to our class and u thought she's coming to meet you but she actually-' 'omg stopppp wtf is wrong with u’ 'hahhahaha' 

and renjun is there just with a small smile on his face but internally he's sad that he can't go 'remember when' bc they've known each other more than they've known him

but jaemin notices renjun looking a little sad, pulls him in and say 'injuna this is so embarassing but she actually came to talk to her friend and i looked like a fricking idiot with my raised hand to say hi'

and jeno chimed in saying 'yeah omg it was so funny and you know that time whn jaemin made a bet with me abt basketball' and jaemin is facepalming but renjun is happy. Happy bc he may not have been there from the start but he's here with them now.
