my toxic trait is isolating myself in order to feel better when all i really need is a hug and someone that tells me it’s gon be alright

thinking about all times i went through something or had a pivotal or even a mundane experience in my life then read a book or watched a movie or listened to an album and was so pleasantly surprised at how much i could resonate (almost at an alarming level) and how comforted it made me feel. it’s so lovely…….the timing of the universe and how it always offers you little pieces of art like books, movies, tv shows, songs and albums and slowly nudges it your way exactly when you need those things at a certain stage in your life, perhaps to make you understand your life and your experiences better and to sharpen the thoughts you already had, or clarify ones you didn’t even know you had

You know what I want? A vampire comedy where at one point a vampire goes “Your father would be spinning in his grave” and then there’s a quick cutaway to a dimly lit gothic boudoir where a coffin is rattling at an incredible speed

This feels like a What We Do In The Shadows episode waiting to happen tbh

being in your early 20s is crazy bc there’s people who are literally married and people who’ve never even dated and people who are trapped in their childhood bedrooms waiting to get out and people who are trying to live out romanticized dream lives and people who are completely on their own and people with multi tiered support systems and we’re all supposedly peers and none of us think we’re doing it right at all
