The book nerd club is now in session, and grandpa Khel is ready to explain all the minute detail to the younglings. The yellow krogan belongs to @spadetheartist, the others are all my respective OCs.

Characters/Pairings: Wrex, Eve, mentions of Grunt and Mordin

A/N: Written for the @beyondthecitadelzine! Ahaha, I love Wrex to pieces. Actually, all of the Krogan are just fun.

Summary: If it weren’t for the fact that he got mobbed by every female in site, Wrex could come to appreciate the joys of fatherhood. Or at least, want it.

“I thought I told you I hate coming here,” Wrex grumbled, sliding into his customary seat across from Eve’s. While Tuchanka was rebuilding, creating new trading partners and relearning craftwork, her humble abode was not much better than the harsh wasteland they lived in. Broken sofas and abandoned furniture were the best she could offer. When she didn’t respond to his complaint, Wrex stressed, “Hate it.”

“Many Krogan would kill to be in your place,” Eve answered evenly, ignoring his childish pout. She rolled her eyes. Every single visit had the same spiel, the same tired tirade. Noticing the bruises on his chin, she smirked. “Trouble?”

Doing zines is hard because I want that immediate gratification when I finish a piece, but with zines ya gotta wait. Anyways, here’s my piece for the @beyondthecitadelzine A Mass Effect charity zine! They’re gay and in love and on a date! 

Characters/Pairings: Thane, Kolyat

A/N: Written for the @beyondthecitadelzine It was a bit hard to find the right wording for this piece.  

Summary: Perhaps Kolyat shouldn’t have listened to Shepard when she suggested taking Thane out for ‘Father’s Day’.

“Shepard suggested this?” Thane asked slowly, trying to sit as still as possible. It was easier said than done, a boat on the water swayed and rocked with the slightest movement. Fortunately, his body had learned long ago how to freeze while waiting for the perfect shot. All he had to do was imagine the fight—

A lighthouse, lighting up the night. Somewhere in the darkness, a beast cried out. Eye pressed to the scope, he could make out a gravel path. His target was late—

—and Thane’s body stilled without thinking. Even his heart rate slowed. His fingers tensed around an imaginary trigger and he had to pull himself out of the memory before it threatened to drown him.

Beyond the Citadel - Geth

Mass Effect, 08.22.17

My full piece for Beyond the Citadel, a charity fanzine that focuses on Mass Effect’s non-Citadel races! (Tumblr ate the dashboard one pls click for non-blurry) Since geth were an option, naturally I decided to torture myself and draw all of Legion’s little tubes and weird armor plates again but in full body this time haha oh god why. Stylistically I was super-inspired by the Dragon Age: Inquisition tarot cards because then you can put pretty shapes and textures instead of an actual background and also by one of my favorite environments in the game - the geth consensus.

The zine includes 7 works of writing and 21 illustrations and is a total of 50 pages long.
