He was staring. He wasn't even afraid to hide it. His eyes were locked on them - mainly on that death date. He couldn't help it. He was.. intrigued, to say the least. Why did that say zero? "Chara." He said after a couple of moments, his eyes falling to hers. "Are you dead?"
Chara looked at the strange man. They were confused as to how he knew they were dead?
βYes Iβm dead, how did you know?β
@beyondbackup
Beyond smiled a little at her words, an even more at that smile. This kid. Ten years older than they looked. He never thought heβd be intrigued by someone like them.Β
βMost people are unsettled by me. Youβre not questioning what Iβve said,Β either, youβre just answering my questions, as if youβre in no danger at allβ¦β He hummed a little,Β βArenβt you curious? The date, how I know your name..? From what I can tell.. you arenβt.. unintelligent. Youβre certainly not bright, but you have the ability to naturally question the motives of others. So tell me, Chara. Why arenβt you?β
βWell, the only reason I didnβt question you about, how you know my name and βdateβ is because you seem to know all of that just by looking.β βBesides, most people already know my name already, so whether or not you have that kind of ability, I wouldnβt question it reallyβ¦β βSoβ¦β In a childish tone now. βThatβs how I know!β
Thatβs what Chara said.
So not just a dumb child. Something about them still intrigued him, butβ the other part of him simply wanted to do what his instincts wanted him to do. Test her. Could they still die, or did this technically mean they were immortal? They obviously didnβt age, unless there was something they werenβt telling himβ¦ Either way, Chara was just a mystery goody bag wrapped up in a sense of painful normality. And he didnβt like it.
βOkay.β He chirped, after a moment, standing up. He stepped towards Chara and bent down, red-tinted eyes firmly trained on theirs.Β βDoes this mean you canβt die? Do you know? Iβd very much like to put it to the test, if you havenβt done so already.β It wasnβt phrased like a threat. And in Bβs mind, it wasnβt necessarily one either. He was curious. If they couldnβt die, then did that mean they were stronger than the Godβs of Death themselves? Oh, he couldnβt help but smile at the thought of that.
