Social enterprises and non-social enterprises fundamentally differ in their purpose and approach to generating revenue. Social enterprises are mission-driven, striving to balance financial viability with social or environmental impact. They often reinvest profits back into their mission, using revenue generation as a means to address broader societal challenges. In contrast, non-social enterprises primarily aim to maximize profits for shareholders, with minimal emphasis on social outcomes unless they align with business objectives.

Despite these differences, both social and non-social enterprises often rely on similar revenue models, such as selling goods, providing services, or leveraging investments. However, the intent behind these activities diverges. For example, a social enterprise might sell eco-friendly products to fund community programs, while a non-social enterprise might sell similar products strictly for profit. Interestingly, both types of enterprises may adopt shared practices, such as cost optimization and customer retention strategies, to ensure long-term sustainability, emphasizing the overlapping need for operational efficiency.

Sir Karl Fajardo significantly enhanced our perspective on how social and non-social enterprises structure and manage revenue streams. By delving into the core objectives and operational differences between the two, the discussions provided clarity on how revenue strategies align with each type's mission. Real-life examples illustrated how social enterprises often navigate the dual challenge of profitability and impact, while non-social enterprises streamline efforts for maximum financial returns.

This deeper understanding revealed that, while revenue streams might seem similar on the surface, the intent and application distinguish these enterprise types. The series also underscored the importance of adaptability in revenue generation, offering practical insights that are valuable for anyone considering careers or ventures in either sector. Overall, it emphasized the need for thoughtful alignment between financial strategies and organizational goals, leaving us better equipped to evaluate and contribute to sustainable enterprise models.

Among all the interviews I have made, all of them had made a whole mark in the making of the product and to summarize all the responses of the interviews, all have in common such as the struggle of looking for an OJT as a civil engineering student to be specific because looking for an OJT as a civil engineering is quiet challenging because it requires alot of work such as to impress the one who interview you to get the job, other than that there are more challenges. And so, from all of that we have planned out the whole product.

First off, key partners, we plan to establish partnership with universities for civil engineering students and companies who will take them as there intern, also with government, tech providers. we will give flyers, outreach, approach people in social media to invite users, seek tech provider for the development of the platform to make all their problems gone. Personalized recommendations and support guidance for easy reach and access. The product will be through website and for the channel through social media and university collaborators and users are students, universities, companies and government

For the cost structure, possibly from maintenance, outreaches, legal and compliance, costumer support and training and partnership management, and revenue streams are subscription fees, placement fees, advertisements, partnership commissions.

Respondent: Jura Mae Quizon Lutero

During our interview, Jura Mae Lutero shared her thoughts on how she thinks finding an OJT (On-the-Job Training) will be. She mentioned that students like her will need to submit applications and pick a position that fits their skills and talents. However, she thinks the process won’t be easy. For example, it might take a long time to find a good opportunity, especially when walking around under the hot sun. She also pointed out that there aren’t many OJT opportunities available, making it harder to find the right one.

When I asked her how she thought, a tool that helps students find OJTs would help, she said she’d be thrilled. Having access to an app like that would make the process a lot easier for her and other students. Instead of going out and looking for opportunities in person, she could just search online, submit applications, and pick a company offering OJT placements in just a few clicks.

As we talked, I found myself agreeing with her. Without an app, finding an OJT would probably take a lot of time and effort. I imagine many students feel the same way, especially since many of us will soon be looking for OJT opportunities ourselves. Having a tool like that would save us from the stress of physically going from place to place and give us more time to focus on other important things.

Respondent #1 Alex V. Labtan

He stated during the interview how he was struggling about mental and physical health after all the pressures he has to face during his time in college until now, he said how he pushed himself to invest in his academics despite his bad health. He suggested a technology that create a cure faster so that he won't have a problem in his side of the story.

Respondent #2 Kent Desoyo

Kent Desoyo stated that he was having a problem with time that he was not able to get updated on time for any announcement because if he needs to focus on his studies, he won't know how long he was on his studies anymore so, he suggested an app that will inform him that there are new announcements released and be notified in that area.

Respondent #3 Japhet Joy Lood

He stated his struggles financially and he was seeking about universities that avails scholarships in a fastest way, also he wants to save some time in those times that he was looking for great universities that has the course he wants and so he thought of an app that will help those students not to experience the same thing that he has to experience before so to save money and time especially that he also shared how he struggled about managing time he thought of an app that can help students to avail universities that matches the idea of availing universities that has their respective course and also offers great scholarship deals.

An app that allows students to avail in universities about their courses and available scholarships without coming in the premises personally. This will help students save fares and lessen their struggles in college as they go through finding great scholarship deals.

An app that allows the students to be aware the about the happenings in public limited around the University of Science and Technology of the Philippines CDO.

An app that allows student to have access and click easily on available Universities with respective courses and scholarships available

It will lessen the stress towards those students who are searching for schools for their desired courses and will able to apply scholarships to help with their studies

Yes, because we'll never know what diseases and viruses there will be in the future, which is very dangerous to think about.

As a civil engineering too, I was able to interview other CE students and gather their insights about this crucial topic which is what we call Innovation and grateful that they were able to give time and effort for this mini but important conversation that we had and was able to give THESE questions

I think, in term of innovation our generation might need is public awareness on things like an app for what the new app or website for such purposes, cause around in the age of AI a lot of technologies have already been developed and new software and program making life of the life of people much easier. But still, a lot of people are still unaware of such a website or app that even exists.

It'll make the life of people much easier. The search times of people trying to find a website or app that might help them will be reduced significantly, improving efficiency on doing task.
