What's with old people and not minding their business? I'm trying to checkout at the grocery store and this bald ass dude is like "that's quite the combination you got there" about my lightbulbs and razors like shut up this is not NEARLY the most suspicious thing I've bought from this store before

oh my god. most of life really is about the little things. a good haircut, a nice playlist, trying a new recipe that turns out well, a poem that hits home, a comfortable spot in the sun, spontaneous messages, a pen you enjoy writing with, tea with the right temperature to drink, buying that thing you’ve been eyeing for a while, a warm bed. yeah im so grateful for the small joys

I don't usually fall in with the "Earth is a deathworld" thing cause, well, life Does flourish on Earth. In fact its so good at it that by our Current standards, its pretty much the Only world known to contain life. That said, there's a case to be made for how a decent percentage of the population gets regularly Burned By The Sun. You know, the thing 150 million kilometers away that is also the source of all life on the planet. You'd think the "goldilocks zone" would include being far enough away that we don't get actively burned by staying on the surface, and sure some people don't, but still. It's Enough. I can just imagine another species finding out its a common occurrence to experience Sun Burns and being surprised that our world hasn't actively burned to the ground.

Progress is not always consistent, sometimes you go weeks without writing until you get inspired in the middle of the night and write one (1) singular paragraph that sucks so fucking much and accept that that's better than nothing and you can shape it up later
