I've read enough fanfics of kaeluc to be aware of a very sad fact, WHY DOES IT SEEMS AS IF EVERYONE SEES DILUC AS A VILLAIN???

To be honest he wasn't in his right mind when he tried to kill Kaeya after he revealed the whole thing, yes, he was wrong. But, he had KILLED his own FATHER, like, he had to end his misery, how could anyone think straight after that? Kaeya pretty much said that all those years of friendship were a lie of sort, so it's at least understandable that he snapped.

The other point people use to antagonize Diluc is his 4 years journey through Teyvat, as if this was abandonment. Like, c'mon, he left to raid the fatui's and get to know the truth behind his father's death as well as to bring justice to his killers. The device that attracted the Ursa was a fatui creation and the delusion was the same. Other than that leaving Mondstadt in my view is the best thing he could do for himself. His father died, his sworn brother could be plotting to destroy Mond, the knights would rather dishonor his father's death than have their image ruined, everything that build his life and happiness fell apart, giving himself the time to find a purpose and busy his mind with bringing justice, is not ideal but better than sitting in Mondstadt wallowing in depression and guilt for not being strong enough to protect his family.

His current relationship with Kaeya is strained, yes, but why? This is a theory/ hc of mine.

Diluc has perfected the art of violence, he's well versed in torture and no one can convince me that he hasn't murdered a bunch of people, so what stops him from killing or apprehending Kaeya? It's not caution as it's known that he's fought a harbinger without a vision, and even if he used the delusion it could still cause his death so it's as dangerous. If he thinks he needs to do something, he will. I think, hear me out, that he gave Kaeya the benefit of doubt, he came clean, told Diluc everything so he might as well give him some trust, to the point where he cooperated with Kaeya for Mondstadt and we see that they still talk and meet, though both are salty with each other. In my opinion Diluc wants to believe him but he knows better, thus even if he wants to go back to their past relationship he wants to be able to kill Kaeya if the time ever comes when he has to, so he keeps his distance to protect his heart.

The end of Sdorica chapter 14 got me good, I was crying at 6 am, you guys know how it feels when your favorite character dies, right?! It's hella sad, however, this time it felt gratifying, an awesome closure to his story, Charle Ceres will definitely be on my top favorite characters for a while, it was a beautiful chapter congratulations Rayark.
