Music comes in seasons. Intake/Life Seasons. Writing Seasons. Recording Seasons.
This was from Recording Season 2024. The Gulfport Sessions. The Florida Magic Bag really came through for me on this one. We got Casey Jones (geetar) on the left, 1G (bass) center stage, Maggie Mayhem (banjo), and yours truly in the foreground.
The result was a little record we call: SHADY PEOPLE.

Well met, traveler. I hope this letter finds you well indeed. Well enough, at least, to welcome in this winter swell — a wealth of snow and wonder, and a trove of tales to tell. Gather round the fire, i’ll fetch some water from the well, and we’ll warm our bones and rest a while and weather out this cell.
Once upon a midnight star, there fell to Earth a slab. A slab of sparkling, spacious ore, it fell into a crag. A humble, lonesome miner saw the comet tail a-wag: and he followed it, he tracked it down, he watched it crash into the ground, he sought the crater it created deep inside the crag; and he mined and mined, he mined and mined, he swung his pickaxe double-time, he swung until his shoulders and the moon began to sag — and the space-rock broke and crumbled, and out tumbled out a Bag.
