Your life, your choices, so go do something about it.
My “Red Pill” yellow journey
“The Red Pill: is the side of harsh truth, personal responsibility and accountability, appreciation for hard work and manual labor and productivity, love of country and family.” I don’t know about you, but isn’t thats what being an American is all about?
Lately I've been struggling a lot with expressing these political issues and how the media spins on it.
I've decided to step back, start fresh, and re-evaluate my "beliefs" with a clear conscious and rational common sense to the best of my own knowledge and experiences. By doing so, I took a look at different platforms/laws/regulations and placed them in my pro and con list (without prejudgment to what political party supports it). To my surprise, a person who has considered to be a democrat supporter and voter, I found myself siding more with republican's platform. I asked myself "how can that be?" Easy, I've been "picking" a political party based on feelings and what I thought were "my" morals and values, but in reality, it was just easier to find a way for me to "feel better" about real issues that were manipulated by the media and culture from this generation.
I now, would like to inform my family and friends, I don't really belong in any particular party: I'm an independent.... that happens to think more conservative :)
Moment of honest truth: Being an Asian Female, raised by legal immigrants that was once in the government assistant programs, sure has a “soft bigotry of short expectation” trajectory of what my political views are expected to be.
I will no longer be a puppet, letting society manipulate and expect me to think a certain way.
I now feel like its my time to have a voice of my own.
