Auruo merely grunts as Erd tugs him into his lap, sliding an arm around his lover’s shoulders to tug on his hair in reprimand. He was long used to Erd’s strange spontaniety, but that didn’t make it any less bothersome, at times. "Your books gonna get all bent outta shape," he scolds, fondly. "Didn’t your mama ever teach you better?"

Erd slid his arms around Auruo's waist and kissed the tip of his nose with a grin "I have had that book since I was a teenager, I'm pretty sure it will hold out being on the floor." he sighed and tucked the loose hair behind his ear and pulled him closer for a kiss. "Besides I would rather have you in my lap over the book." 

Cheeky. Auruo really was tempted to bite, him now, if only to wipe off that smug little smirk from his face. He could feel it when Erd pressed a kiss to his crown, and it- irritated him, in a fond sort of way. "I’m still not sure if that’s a good thing," he grumbles in reply, sounding rather put out, but he curls closer regardless. They were so.. domestic. "Someday I’m gonna take a chunk outta you, y’know."

More empty threats but at the same time they were in an odd way Auruo's way of showing affection and Erd couldn't protest really because he wouldn't have him any other way. "When that day comes I will have bandages and antiseptic cream ready." he murmured and in one swift move pulled Auruo onto his lap, book falling to the floor long forgotten.

"You’re the worst," Auruo grumbles, voice muffled against Erd’s shirt. Even so, he doesn’t move; just stays tucked against his side, absorbing his warmth and breathing in his scent. He almost has half a mind to dig his teeth into Erd’s shoulder. "Should I ask the captain for more shit for you to do?"

"Not on my day off you don't, I have plenty to do when I am working the least I could do is enjoy my day off." Even if that meant pestering his lover in the end, he could almost hear the smile because of his tone and that alone had Erd smiling and pressing a kiss to the top of his head. "I'm the worst but you love regardless." 

He scoffs, reaches up to pull off his glasses, pinching Erd’s hand on the way. Really, he was absolutely insufferable sometimes. Still, it’s… warming, he supposes, and Auruo turns to hide his growing smile against Erd’s shoulder. "You’re gonna spoil me," he warns, half-serious. "I’m gonna start expectin’ you to say shit like this all the time, now."

"I don't really see a problem with me lavishing you in attention when we're alone, I wouldn't dare embarrass you in front of mixed company though." Well that was a lie because he knew that when it all boiled down to it he'd say whatever he pleased anyway. "You should be spoiled every once in awhile and I don't see anything else for me to do today."
