Hallowscream! Great event that is hosted at the york maze. £25 a ticket, 5 mazes all very good and unique! Won't spoil it for people who are preparing to go but if you haven't got tickets already it's well worth it for a laugh and a scare. Drinks and food are a little expensive and there is no merchandise other than a t-shirt. Would have bought a hoodie if they sold them. My local Asda has a nice little selection, pumpkins for £1 each at reasonable sizes soo. Plenty of face paints and a few of Asdas specialties such as their doorbell with the eyeball in it. Traumatica is the second on the list of horror nights we visited whilst eurotripping and I have to say despite my love for Walibi Hollands fright nights this was actually better. Possibly because of the gluhwein but that asside I will give our review. Firstly Traumatica was hosted at Europapark and you can get a combi ticket which gives you general park entry and entry to Traumatica also. There were 4 mazes in total, resistance, the fallen, the pack and dark shadows. All had their own groups of unique actors and all of the cast interacted with each other. The resistance hunted the pack and the pack terrorised people in queues, it seems like they can away with a lot more in Germany than they can in the UK for example. I almost had an initiation in to the pack. The gypsy scare zone was the only real disappointment for me and the fact that we did not get to ride on the ghost train, the queue was far too long and we were already tired from waiting in the line for all the mazes. My favourite maze was The Fallen due to the nature of the characters and the story behind them. I usually always like to purchase a hoodie from each of the fright nights i visit and this year I managed to bag one for Traumatica. I think the park looks great at night as well.

So here’s my review of Walibi Hollands Fright nights. The day is booked out for Frightnight goers only and has some really great scare zones. Pirates, Game over, Quarantine, Hellfire and Eddies Zone. It’s well worth the money as you get to go to the park for the full day and the fright nights as well. If you get there early the rides are usually just walk on and we got on a few rides early such as low gravity and condor.  The cast and actors are great in all the zones except Quarantine in my opinion, purely because zombies don’t really do it for me anymore. They are some of the most unique scare zones that I personally have been through. The cast were also happy to pose for photos and such which made the experience even more enjoyable. The horror mazes were also pretty good, you have the option to pick time slots so you were able to get in without having to wait too long. There was also a clinic you could visit, as we didn’t have the time to do this we opted out but from what we saw it was pretty good. Not as scary as some I have been in but pretty good none the less.  Walibi also do a neat little hot chocolate mug which you can take around with you for 5 euros and it’s refillable with a valid receipt. Wish we discovered that sooner!

TJ hughes have finally stocked up on their Halloween range. Lots of costumery, and a few unique ones that aren’t badly priced. Great for adults and kids, really good collection of makeup and masks also.  Ornament wise they have some nice hanging ghouls and wraiths, a giant scary light up bat, some light up ornaments, signage, silly string spray too.  Good to get down for a cheap costume if you need any quick pickups!

Leds that ive just bought today from poundland, they come in green, red, purple and orange and they have other ones in store with spiders, ghosts and such. I just went with the normal leds, the red ones are my favourite.

Costco has a go big or go home attitude to Halloween this year! With giant pumpkins, reefs and a 6ft tall speaking butler, you can’t really go wrong here if you like large animated props! The gargoyle is super sweet too but very expensive, is also very heavy so unless you have a car it’s not advised to pick it up!

Another Halloween selection, this time from Home Bargains! They haven’t gotten as many ornaments but costumes galore. Great selection for kids and a few unique items for adults, the red riding hood cloak and the green witches outfit are actually quite good quality considering the price. Lots of sweets and plenty of halloween bags for the kids to put their candy in, makeup and masks as well so get yourself down for a bargain!
