Okay, anyone who is playing the new PokĂŠmon games, Iâm kind of at a loss for words⌠Iâm just a casual more or less, I didnât play any of these old games when I was younger. I did play X/Y and Sun/Moon some, but never beat either one. So here I am now, addicted immediately.
I named my adorable little critter bff Rey and was lucky that it was indeed a girl! I looked it up and apparently the chances of getting a female (let alone on first try) are obnoxiously low.
OH MY GOD HOW CUTE IS THIS. So I use her all the time. Everywhere. Sheâs like⌠one hitting everything and barely getting hurt from enemy attacks. Iâm like⌠is this normal? She is so strong and brave and sturdy! Sheâs level 25 and I have the ability to âjudgeâ PokĂŠmon now. Iâm curious how this little girl faresâŚ
WHAT IN THE WORLD?!?!?!?! Does everyoneâs starter PokĂŠmon have stats like this? Am I in some weird dream land?!?! I feel like this game is super easy because of this beast, if I had the other game would Pikachu have stats like this? This is unreal. I wish my Chespin in Y had these stats, I struggled a lot with that damn thing.
OP got a perfect IV female eevee on their first try, reblog for luck
I have a new tumblr, as a heads up:
yourradiantlight.tumblr.com
I'll be over there now.
It's about time I started out fresh.
Also, don't mind the dust.
I'll be prettying it up when I get home tonight.
Now I'll be able to actually tag things properly.
Lee says:
The word âtransgenderâ is an umbrella term that covers anyone who identifies as a gender they were not assigned at birth.
Both binary people and non-binary people are equally transgender.
Being trans without dysphoria is possible.
Gender expression â gender identity, as shown on the genderbread person
Again, if you donât fully identify as the gender you were assigned at birth 100% of the time, you can call yourself trans. Thatâs it, thereâs no other criteria you need to meet to be trans.

I've read through a fair bit of the FAQ on the subject, but like, non-dysphoric trans people still don't quite make sense? I get that there's gender euphoria when properly addressed and when your body looks how you want it to, but how exactly does euphoria work without dysphoria? Wouldn't something have to be off (even slightly) for euphoria to make sense? I'm sorry if this comes off as rude, I'm just trying to understand and I didn't mean to offend anyone.
Archer says:
I donât in particular identify as non-dysphoric, but I do think I experience my dysphoria in a very different way. In fact, I used to actually think I had no dysphoria. For me, this meant I experienced gender euphoria instead. Now, what is that exactly though, right?
Gender euphoria without gender dysphoria is definitely a thing that can and does happen. In my experience, I didnât dislike my body, I wasnât even in particular uncomfortable back in the early stages of my transition, but when I was mistaken for a guy I felt great. I could see myself living the rest of my life as a girl, but I knew that if I did that I would never be as happy as I could possibly be. I wouldnât be content, I wouldnât be comfortable, I wouldnât be able to stand it once Iâd known I had other options.
What I discovered as I began my transition is that I definitely still experience gender euphoria, but I do also deal with dysphoria. For me my dysphoria comes through in the form of derealization. I look to the body parts I dislike and feel a vague disconnect. My brain just subconsciously decides that these things arenât permanent so as long as I can avoid them for now then eventually I wonât have to even think about them.
So, to conclude, gender euphoria can exist as a separate and independent entity from dysphoria. You can also start to experience dysphoria because of euphoria and vice-versa.
Kii says:
I recently had a friend say the following to me and it helped in my understanding a lot:
âSo, imagine, when you were in kindergarten, your teacher told you to write with your right hand, and your parents both wrote with their right hands, and all your friends and classmates do to. So, you also become pretty good at writing with your right hand and you assume that everyone in the whole world writes with their right hand because youâve never seen anything else.
But maybe one day when youâre in fifth grade, or youâre a teenager, or youâre 50 years old, you get bored, and you pick up a pencil with your left hand. Maybe itâs because you saw a friend do it, or you read some article online about left-handed people, or you just felt like trying it for some reason.
And for some reason, even though youâre used to writing with your right hand and everyone in your life up until that point has told you to write with your right hand, writing with your left hand is so much easier, and once you start doing it, thereâs no way you want to go back to your right hand because your left hand feels more natural and easier and you never wouldâve known this if you didnât just try picking up the pencil. And sure, if you had to, youâre still perfectly capable of writing with your right hand. Youâre probably pretty good at it, since youâve been doing it for years, and at times you might think itâs easier to write that way since everyone else does it and youâve always been told thatâs the only way to write and youâre scared you might get in trouble or get weird looks for writing with your left hand, especially if youâve been writing with your right hand for years and have never had a problem with it until now.Â
But still, you canât shake the feeling that you shouldâve been writing with your left hand your whole life, even if thereâs nothing particularly impossible about writing with your right hand. You feel like if someone had just told you that some people write with their left hand, you mightâve made the choice on your own, but no one ever told you, so you didnât even know it was possible until you tried it yourself, and now that youâve tried it, you donât ever want to go back to writing with your right hand.â
Lee says:
There are many different ways to experience and label gender identity and theyâre all valid, so saying someone has to have dysphoria ignores the diversity of trans experiences- we donât all go through the same thing, or label our feelings in the same way.Â
The majority of trans people do have dysphoria, but that doesnât mean that every trans person has to.Â
Creating artificial criteria to judge who counts creates a toxic atmosphere where trans people (with and without dysphoria) feel that they arenât âtrans enoughâ when they are- the only person who can decide if someone is trans is the trans person themself.

While hopefully the links above and the other modâs explanations helped clarify this topic for you, someoneâs identity doesnât have to make sense to you personally in order to count and be valid. Just accept that they feel that way and move on.
If anyone has more links to add feel free to do so in a reblog! All of the mods of this blog are dysphoric so we especially encourage non-dysphoric followers to add on with their personal experiences and viewpoints!Â

d3viantvanguard said: These are amazing comments, but tl;dr: People can tell the difference between neutral and positive feelings, theyâre not similar at all.  (That is, because âneutralâ is the absence of emotional valence, whereas âpositiveâ is⌠positive emotional valence. Itâs pretty darn hard to confuse the two.)  You donât need negative feelings (dysphoria) to recognize whether something (gender) is right or wrong for youâa shift away from neutral in either direction is enough to be noticed.

Listen. Read. Educate yourselves. If you are unaware, fix that. Do not be complicit in the societal and legal oppression of transgender Americans.
People with ADHD tend to have time blindness.. Which means we dont tend to have a good grasp at how long things take.
Now this really fucks us up cause we end up being unable to start doing things cause we think itâll take a long time only for it to take a very short time when we actually do it.
Now obviously if someone says ten minutes, we know what it means numerically. But what we donât easily grasp is what can be done in those ten minutes.
My friends are coming over in ten minutes? I can easily clean up the house and change before thenâŚâŚ Wait, theyre already here? Howâs that possible?!
Op I like you cuz you make me feel less shitty about my shortcomings. Itâs not just me being shitty! Amazing! Itâs a legit thing! Which I still need to deal with and stuff but at least itâs like, not just cuz Iâm a terrible person!
A lot of what we are made to believe are our shortcomings are caused by factors outside of our control. We can learn to control them to a point but learning to recognize them as not completely our fault is incredibly freeing.
You have been blessed by the money gecko. He doesnât care if you reblog because he is loving and kind to all people regardless.
I wrote a lengthy email to the administrator of my building today.
Mostly about how I wanted to change the name on my nametag...
And how I was given kind of a hard time from the HR lady about it.
I should *NOT* have to legally change my name just to get my preferred name on my nametag.
So...yeah. Weâll see how it goes.

My dear lgbt+ kids,Â
I decided to write a little list of lgbt+ milestones that happened this year (2018).Â
While there are certainly many things to be sad or angry about, I believe we all need (and deserve) to celebrate the good news, too.Â
So, in no particular order, here are a few happy things!Â
-Â Supreme Court declared Section 377 unconstitutional: itâs no longer a crime to be gay in India!
-Â AÂ trans woman in the United States breastfed her adopted baby, according to the magazine âTransgender Healthâ. This is the first (known) case of a trans woman breastfeeding!Â
- For the first time ever, a prime minister of New Zealand marched in a gay pride parade! (Her name is Jacinda Ardern)Â
- Dee Rees became the first lesbian black woman to be nominated for any Academy Award in a writing category!Â
-Â Holland, the first openly gay K-pop singer, debuted his first single âNeverland.â
-Â Angela Ponce made history as the first openly transgender woman to ever be crowned Miss Spain!Â
- âLove, Simonâ was released, the first gay romantic teenage movie ever released by a major studio in the US!Â
-Â Transgender identity is no longer classified as a mental disorder in the International Statistical Classification of Diseases!
- Beth Ford became the first openly gay woman CEO to run a Fortune 500 company!Â
-Â Marvia Malik became the first openly trans newsreader to appear on Pakistani television!Â
-Â The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria allowed the blessing of same-sex marriages!
-Â Americaâs first city-wide Bi Pride event was held, in West Hollywood!Â
-Â Mike Jacobs became the first sitting judge in the United States to come out as bisexual!
-Â Adam Rippon became the United Statesâs first openly gay athlete ever to qualify for any Winter Olympics!Â
- British Vogue featured an openly transgender woman for the first time (Paris Lees)!Â
-Â Trinidad and Tobagoâs High Court decriminalized homosexuality!Â
Which lgbt+ news/milestones made you happy in 2018? Feel free to add! <3Â
With all my love,Â
Your Tumblr Mom
Things you can do for your future self that you will really appreciate:
Caramelize, like, a whole ton of onions.
Really, get a whole ass bag of yellow onions, peel, chop, cry, put on a podcast and start stirring those tasty bastards. Delgaze every so often. Do like, 12, 15 onions until theyâre a thick, dark brown paste of flavor then spoon them into an ice cube tray and freeze.
So later, when youâre tired and Donât want fast food again, or itâs 3AM after a meds adjustment and you need curry right the fuck now, or itâs family dinner night and you want to look like an adult, sad, tired, mentally wobbly future you can crack open the freezer, dump a cube or three in the pan with the chicken or curry or stuffing and get all that delicious goodness delivered to your brain without the effort of a hot stove right then.
So next time you have three hours to kill and want to do some self care,
Caramelize so many fucking onions.
iâve posted before about the concerned looks i get from grocery store employees due to my regular habit of purchasing 40+ onions for caramelization purposes. theyâre great in sandwiches
pro tips:Â
use butter instead of oil
low heat + lots of time = carmalezation magic
freeze in a large freezer bag squished flat
they shrink in the pan, youâll only get < Âź the volume you start with.
they last ages in the fridge
1. Do they not have Costo in your home dimension?
2. Personally I love the flavor of onion, esp the caramelized goodness, but canât fucking stand the texture of onion so I cook them extra long, deglaze with the white wine people kept giving me as housewarming presents despite the fact I donât drink to get the Fond AKA THE GOOD SHIT off the bottom/destroy the cell structure more, then ran them through the food processor to make⌠Like apple butter, but with Caramelized Onions.
Itâs still really good on sandwiches, esp grilled cheese. You can also just add it to stock or salad dressings too!
3. Youâre 100% right about using butter it works so much better. I think the browning of the butter adds a lot of flavor that you wouldnât get with an oil.
4. ⌠I should try this with the duck fat next time. Thatâd be baller.
5. You can also chop up your fresh herbs and store them in butter (which also freezes great) so they last longer and then you also have herb butter for either cooking or toast.
So this was a 3 AM shit post about my love of caramelized onions and people are tagging it as #life hacks, #meal prep or fucking #adulthood like Iâm some put together kind of person with a skincare routine and not a walking disaster that decided to make lamb curry at 2AM.
But. I guess I can take it as a sign that maybe Iâm not as much of a mess as I think I am.
To make herb butter btw-. Donât melt the butter just leave it covered out on the counter until itâs really soft (time varies by region) then scoop it into a resealable bowl, add you chopped herbs and mix, then cover and put back in the fridge.
Due to the introduction of plant matter herb butter is less shelf stable than unaltered butter and should not be left in a butter dish, but you can take it out an hour or so before you use it in front of guests to slow-soften it again.
if you have a slow cooker, you can do it that way. (helpful if you donât have much time, but you still want to help out future you.) fill the slow cooker half or three-quarters full of sliced onion, drizzle melted butter or olive oil over the top (say 2 tablespoons per onion), shake a little salt in, and set the timer for 10 hours on low. maybe stir occasionally. if you want darker and more decomposed onions, slow cook another 3 or 4 or 5 hours with the lid slightly ajar so the liquid can evaporate. smell the oniony goodness! and then stick it in the freezer.
you can turn the slow cooker on before you go to bed, and wake up to a kitchen that smells like onion. and if youâre me, and your bathroom door is off the kitchen, your towels will probably smell like onion too. (my bathroom door is like two feet from the stove, which means every time i make a quiche or an onion omelette my bathtowel smells like fried onions for DAYS. itâs weird but not unpleasant.) (oddly enough my towel never smells like anything else i might make on or in the stove.)
Asked HR if I could change my name on my nametag.
She then proceeded to tell me how I needed to have my name legally changed, with my driverâs license and social security card for proof of said name change, before I could get my nametag changed.
...
Itâs just a friggin nametag. Let me change my name on it!
Iâm so mad; apparently, the transphobia is real.
The blackberry bush in my garden is bearing fruit and I just canât help myself
You know what should be a thing, aromantic - polyamourous solidarity. Like I know it seems like Iâm talking about things that are completely opposite, but think about it
- both groups reject conventional relationship ideas
- we all donât believe in the idea of finding that one, single romantic partner that will be more important than anyone else in our lives (whether we donât want a romantic partner at all or we want multiple, equally important ones)
- referring to above, we all get told one day we will find that person that will make us see the light of monogamous romantic love or whatever
- both polyam people and allosexual aros get shoved into the stereotype of asshole who just wants to sleep around without commitment
- our relationships of choice donât get the same kind of privileges romantic ones do (whether because we donât want to marry or because we canât marry multiple people)
- some people are both aromantic and polyamourous
Idk I just think we could get along

I wish the âFantastic Beastsâ movies werenât so plot filled, like why canât they just be about newtâs journey in finding his animals. I donât care about Grindelwald or Dumbledore, just show me the beasts.
Iâd watch
HmmmmmâŚ..
