The establishment of these sectors was created to help people find themselves and actually have a way to explain who they were to society. Scientists have proven that in the human psyche the capacity at which most understand gender is through a spectrum. Just because gender is a spectrum does not mean there is only one type of people that fall in love with “all”. You see, the definition of “pan” in the Greek origin is all-inclusive, meaning the connotation of the most accepted definition of “pan” as in the implication of the union of all branches in a group therefore ALL parts of the spectrum in genders. Bisexual on the other hand, “bi-“; the definition meaning two is used for those who are attracted to the opposite sides of the gender spectrum on more of scientifically physical form of attraction through the stereotypical sexes male and female. Gender may be a spectrum but that does not create an “all or nothing” scenario on what people should be attracted to. Leave bisexual and pansexual people alone. They have fought just as hard as the rest of the lgbt+ community as the rest if not harder due to the broadness of the definitions. The most recognized sectors of this community should be helping the other representatives rise up to be just as respected. This is just downright disrespectful and bigots just created this “discussion” to separate the community further so we eventually scatter and become more of a minority in political stances than we already are.
