Everything about this scene here is much-needed. The week has gone by in a blur and I'm ready for what lies ahead of me this weekend. This by the way is lobby at The Delano in Vegas. Sitting there with that glass of wine, watching hotel guests come and go, playing with my ISO settings was the most unexpectedly relaxing and quiet moment of the weekend. No cha-ching of the slots. Vegas, you're still money. The 72 hrs with you was action packed. I was too tired and hungry from a 22hr day to land a good long exposure shot in all your neon glory on my first night. Here's a little story about this intersection...many, MANY years ago a little kitten parked her car on this street (Milwaukee). She went into a club. When she came out the car was gone. She thought it was stolen. The cop she had flagged down told her exactly where it was -The impound lot due to Chicago's No Parking from 3am-7am Oct-April. Five hours later at 10am, she was reunited with her car. That was the last time she listened to her non-driving BF.

I have been unhappy and restless for 2 yrs…maybe longer. I had happy moments and moments where I felt cozy in my “present” but they were never long lasting or satisfying enough to shake me to the core. So something had to happen. A change.
