Sometimes it’s easy to fall into this spiral of wanting to hex, cross or curse anyone who goes against us. However, let me tell you that this will only result in a never ending goal of whack a mole. This will result in you focusing all of your energy in shutting people down spiritually instead of focusing on yourself and things you want to attract to your life.

We only have so much time and energy in a day and you don’t want to be throwing it all to other people even if it will make you feel better. Don’t get me wrong, some people deserve it and need a little shake from the spirit world. Just remember, there will ALWAYS be someone out there being a little cunt who can’t seem to love themselves enough. Always.

So, just keep in mind, when you’re pissed off at someone who said something mean to you, that you can’t get em all. Focus.on.you.

Someone who’s consistently talking about you and dragging your name through the mud at work, with family or with friends needs to be shut down.

You will need: 

A picture of the person or a quick drawing with their name written on it

Black pen

Candle (I like black) optional

Incense (Dragon’s Blood, chicory, anything that puts you in a strong and dark mood.) optional

Light the candle and incense. Focus deeply on them keeping your name out of their mouth. Imagine their mouth sewn shut or flesh grown over their mouth. Say whatever you need to say out loud as you do this. As you say the words (or stay silent), scribble black across their mouth over and over and over. Do it until it feels right to stop. 

Here are some ideas for words. You don’t have to use these. Say whatever comes to mind:

Offender’s Name,...

...Shut up. Shut your mouth.

...Keep my name out of your mouth. 

...Stop gossiping about me. 

...When you think to start talking shit about me, you can’t find the words. 

...You speak no ill of me. 

...When you talk ill of me, your mouth is filled with pain, blisters & sores.

Once you’re done, you can:

Bury this paper in a cold dark place

Put it in a jar of vinegar and pepper and bury or keep it somewhere

Burn it

Watch what happens 😉

I recommend only performing this spell on a repeat offender. Don’t use this method lightly. However, if someone is legit threatening your livelihood or relationships with others. It might be a good idea to try this. 

If you’re feeling extra drained, disoriented and/or depressed, you may have someone leaching or stealing your energy. In other terms, an energy vampire. You may also feel like you’ve lost your spark, light, or creativity. Now, this could mean someone or something is spiritually attached to you and sucking all of your special goodies away... or you may just need some vitamin D. Either way, these little rituals will help you feel better. You may have an idea of who it might be or you may have no idea and just feel in a funk. Try these few things to cut them bitches out of yo life. 

Light a candle. I prefer black but it doesn’t even matter. 

Light some incense. I prefer amber or frankincense & myrrh. Once again, it doesn’t matter. 

Visualization or meditation

Option A: Sit comfortably anywhere, close your eyes and visualize yourself standing there. You may notice or sense some cords latched onto you in all different places. These cords will be coming from you and linked to lights, people, orbs, or houses. Cut all of these cords. Detach them from your spiritual self. Imagine hearing the snap as they break and the lights they are attached to go out. Once you feel free of the cords, notice a bright warm light coming in through your crown. Allow it to pour in and fill all parts of your body. Feel the warmth and the glow pour through to your fingers, swirl back up and go through your stomach then down through your legs and toes. Let it empty out through your feet. Let this glowing light pour through you until you feel cleansed and then close up the opening at your feet and allow this light to fill you up. Finally, imagine you are encased in a cloak or shield. This cloak has holes in it from all of the cords that penetrated it. Remove this cloak, let it fall and dissipate away. Pull a new shining cloak out of the space around you and completely encase yourself. Sew it or zip it up around you so there are no holes and it’s secure. Open your eyes. 

Option B: Prepare a bath with as many different salts as you can and add some cleansing herbs. You can do this by pouring the herbs in directly or first boiling them, making a strong concoction and then pouring that into your bathtub. I like to use things like rue, rosemary, basil, hyssop, florida water, vetivert, vinegars, red pepper, black pepper, lemon, and orange peel for my herbal baths but you can use whatever you have on hand. Once your bath is prepared, light two white candles one on each side of the bathtub entrance and get inside. Close your eyes and visualize the cord cutting ritual above. I then like to visualize all this gray and dark matter getting sucked out of my belly and dissipating in clouds/mist above me. Once I feel I am empty, I imagine the golden light filling me up. When finished, walk out of the bathtub between the candles and imagine a veil of protection coming over you. 

Cleanse your house with palo santo, sage, or any other incense of choice. 

Remember, the power is in yourself, your intention, and your ability to focus and visualize. The candles, incense and herbs are really there to help you get in the right state of mind. They can definitely help increase the power of your intentions but if all you had was some salt and red candles, that would work if you could focus and visualize really well. 

Depending on the energy vampire’s strength, you may need to do this daily for awhile. Some people don’t realize they are energy vampires and others purposely seek out to take your energy, spirit, chi, luck, etc. Other times, you may just run into a stranger in a store that you had some kind of tiff with and they attached to you (possibly unintentionally) but they are leaching off of your spirit or chi, whatever you want to call it. 

If you know who the energy vampire is, try to avoid them as much as possible. If you can, perform a banishing spell to encourage them to move out of your life. :) 

After a few days, you should notice your spirits lifting and your spark coming back. Your energy will feel corrected and balanced. 

Are you worried you may have unintentionally sent the evil eye to someone and bad things seemed to keep happening to them? Well first, think about how they got into the situations they did. Were they making poor choices? Most likely they were. This is where “karma” comes in and each person creates their own karma per say. If you are still worried it was you and you didn’t really wish them any harm, just take it back. If you have the power to give it, you have the power to take it. 

Every single encounter I’ve had with someone who claimed bad things happened when they tried black magick either didn’t do it right, approached it with fear and anxiety or they were really careless with their actions.

Really stop and take a look at how you were approaching the ritual or intention. Were you being careless about who you told? Were you posting about it on social media or in your work emails?

Karma. Does it exist? So, I’ve went through believing in a few different theories around this subject. At first, I thought “Yes, karma is real and I need to be careful to NEVER do anything horrible or send any hateful thoughts to anyone no matter what.”. Then, as I’ve grown and experienced many different situations and types of people, I’ve decided that I believe there is a balance to energy, to the universe, to our actions. However, I also think sometimes people just need to be hexed, cursed, or crossed. Whatever you want to call it, sometimes some people just need a good punch in the face from the universe. 

The internal conflict for myself at times is “Who am I to decide this person deserves this?”. Well, this is how I justify it. When I feel my life, livelihood, or someone I love is in danger, I will do whatever I feel necessary. Do I run around hexing and cursing anyone and everyone who challenges me or “hurts my feelings” :,(... no... that’s a lot of energy to invest in other people. 

If you feel the need to really perform a curse or a hex on someone but you are afraid that it will come back to you three fold, seven fold, ten fold, whatever that rule is, then after you perform the ritual, go out and balance the energy out in the universe by doing something kind for someone. Sacrifice some of your time to help someone else. Or, perhaps a simple offering at a crossroads, cemetery, or to a spirit or deity you might be working with will suffice. 

Remember, praying, meditation, and magick ritual are all the same thing. They are just ways to manipulate the energy around you. If you have the power to unbalance energy, you have the power to balance it. 

I’ve been watching a lot of documentaries about social media and how it has destroyed our brains and sense of self in a thousand different ways. A part of me feels weird even starting a Tumblr. It feels bizarre to just throw my thoughts out into this huge digital space... anyone can see it... anyone can respond to it.. and it doesn’t even matter... but there are people who make a living off of this... but why? I guess certain personality types love being in the limelight and possibly have a dream of being famous and thats ok. It just seems pointless when you think of the larger picture.. the larger journey we are all on that leads to the same end..

The only thing I can think of is that it’s something to do.. something to fill in the time as we creep towards death’s door... too dark? 

Well, keep your head on straight and keep fighting the good fight. Find meaning in your work, your life, and your relationships. Each day find something to strive for. If it’s cleaning out the garage or creating that spreadsheet for your boss, find purpose in everything you do.

I’m not claiming to be a fifth generation witch nor do I have some long lost witchy ancestors. I wasn’t raised by a grandmother or aunt that taught me  secret spells. Hell, I don’t even know that much of my ancestry. All I know is that even with this uncertainty of “witchiness” in my blood, I’ve always intuitively known that I was a bit different and strange. 

At a very young age, I was oddly intrigued by things like incense, altars, tarot, wilderness, meditation, etc. I remember being drawn to cards and almost knowing on this deep cellular level that I was seeking out tarot but my young body didn’t yet know what they were and so I was just attracted to all sorts of cards. Simple cards in board games that resembled tarot had me completely spellbound and I didn’t know why. But yes, perhaps I saw something in a movie or a picture at some point that inspired me (them Disney movies will get ya every time). Children can be captivated by the oddest things sometimes. Either way, I’ve been drawn to the Otherworld, grimoires, magick books, and ancient, mystical languages and writing for a very long time. That has to count for something.
