ARROW (2012–2020) S01E12 | Vertigo

So while I’m stuck at home for a few weeks I’ve decided to look over my bookmarks and share one of my favorite fics each day.  As I was trying to decide which @hope-for-olicity​ fics to post I just couldn’t make up my mind. So…here is my first list of recommendations by Olicity authors. Enjoy!

Mary’s Teacher- Felicity teaches grade two and welcomes Mary Queen into her classroom.

Airplanes, Coffee, and Deadlines- Felicity begins working at a national newspaper where she has always dreamed of working. On her first day, she meets a very interesting photojournalist. The two will eventually work together but sparks fly immediately.

Choices- An alternate ending to 2x13 when Oliver kisses Sara.

Always a Bridesmaid- Felicity must return to her hometown for the first time since high school to stand in her friend Sara’s wedding.  While many things have changed for Felicity some have not and she has begun to wonder what happened to her old high school crush Oliver Queen.

When a King is Really a Queen- Oliver Queen writes romantic suspense novels under the name Olivia King on his way to reveal his true identity he meets one of Olivia King’s biggest fans, Felicity Smoak, and she is not very happy.

Pumpkin Spice and Football- Felicity is the new Social Media Coordinator for the New York Jets, Oliver is the veteran quarterback - their worlds will change when they literally collide.

Dark to Light- Felicity distances herself from Team Arrow and decides it is her mission to take down Prometheus herself.

Smoaked- Felicity and her young daughter Molly move to Star City to escape a stalker ex-boyfriend.

Fancy- Felicity Smoak’s life changes when her aunt dies and leaves her a horse ranch to run.

Saw Her Standing There- Oliver sees Felicity across a bar and knows she’s the one for him.

Our Version of Events~  Action star Ollie Queen is trying to clean up his image and land parts that require him to do more than appear shirtless while fighting stuntmen. Pop star Felicity Smoak wants to be seen as an adult in time for the release of her new, grittier album. And talent manager John Diggle’s got an idea about what coverage of Oliver and Felicity’s brand new (and totally fake) romance could do for them both.

The Stars Choose Their Lovers~ My take on what I’d like to see for Oliver, Felicity, William, and Mia in the series finale that I will, admittedly, probably never see. Based entirely on where things stood at the end of S7, and what I would do were I writing the end of the series.

Blindspot~ Oliver looks through the one-way glass and sees a petite young woman with long, dark hair – deep black, and streaked with purple, unless the fluorescent lights are playing tricks on him. She’s sitting alone at the table with her hands clasped in front of her, the bright royal blue of her nails standing out starkly against her pale skin. There are dark tattoos along the bicep of her left arm, and he can see a little ink peeking out of her light green tank top. ONE OF MY FAVS!

Collection To Be Named Later~ Collection of ficlets, drabbles, and prompt responses, mostly from tumblr, for Arrow. Chapter 1 will function as a table of contents so you can pick and choose what you’d like to read (if anything!). NSFW chapters will be marked in the table of contents

Compulsory Figures~ A series of moments in Felicity Smoak and Oliver Queen’s road to becoming partners on the ice – and maybe off.  Or: it’s that figure skating AU no one asked for, because parlez-vous Olympics??  ;)

Deceive, Inveigle, and Obfuscate~ When a threat to Felicity’s safety isn’t something that Oliver can put arrows in, the team has to look for different kinds of solutions to assorted legal problems. Diverges from canon during S2 mid-season break. Written as a thank you to my lovely tumblr friends.

The Constellations Never Fail~ Oliver Queen has learned the precise kind of ruthlessness it takes to keep his friends and family alive in a post-apocalyptic world. Felicity Smoak has built a somewhat idyllic enclave smart enough to withstand almost anything from the living or the dead. When they meet, their respective philosophies on what it takes to keep moving in this brutal new world clash – but they’ll need to learn how to work together to survive.

The Olicity fandom wouldn’t be as fortune as we have been without the lovely Olicity stories shared with us by @smkkbert​!  Her Olicity family series and other fics has brought me many hours of reading pleasure!  Seriously, this list could go on and on so I’m just picking some of my favs~ enjoy!!

“Time for a story” Drabble Series ~This fic shows Olicity and their life as a (married) couple with family. Although Olicity (and their kids) are the protagonists, other characters of Arrow and Flash make appearances.It started as a drabble series, but developed more and more into a full domectic AU. Although some chapters are still drabble-like, there are longer storylines by now. (All chapters are also available on Tumblr)The rating as “explicit” is only because of a few drabbles that contain smut, but those are rather rare. Most of the drabbles are fluff. 403 Chapters!

We ended as lovers~ Three years ago, Felicity’s life was perfect. She was offered a job at two great companies. Her boyfriend just started his own fashion label, and they picked a perfect apartment to live in together. The more heartbroken she was when Oliver got cold feet and it all ended. Now, Felicity is coming back to Starling City, well aware that she is destined to run into her ex-boyfriend there. While old feelings revive quickly, the pain still goes deep. Besides, for some reason Oliver seems to be angry with her.

Mothers know best~ Since they have been kids, they have been best friends. Since they have been friends, their mothers wanted them to be together.After coming back from the east coast, Felicity takes over a position at Queen Consolidated, the company her best friend will soon take over from his father. Their mothers still push for them to be together, and they seem closer to that goal than ever because wedding bells are ringing. The only problem is that they both plan to get married to someone else.

There goes my life~ This series is about teenage Oliver and Felicity finding their way into being very young parents. We will see them working through issues during the pregnancy and the baby’s first two to three years.

If loving you is wrong (I don’t want to be right)~ They live in a society where the Ministry for Procreation decides who you get to marry. Oliver and Nyssa have come to terms with that. Although they are married, Nyssa can secretly be with Sara, and Oliver can do whatever he wants to do. When Oliver decides to make changes, he falls madly in love with Felicity. Therefore, his life takes a pleasant turn because although they cannot publicly be together, at least they can be in secret. Things soon get complicated, though, when Felicity receives a letter that shall change her life.

14 Days of Olicity~ Fourteen fics to lead to Valentine’s day - my fics for the Tumblr challenge.

Old days new hope~ Fearing she’s lost Oliver forever, Felicity inadvertently travels back in time to before the Gambit sank. Can she help Oliver avoid five years in hell, and maybe save some lives along the way? She’d often wished she could take away Oliver’s suffering, but will saving him prevent him from becoming the man she loves?What’s more: will he still love her?  A series of three stories.

More than jewelry~ This is my speculation about what might happen in 4x10.Oliver tries to deal with what has happened after he proposed to Felicity.

I don’t know about y’all, but Monday rolled very quickly. My conference calls are slowly devolving into a series of VERY bad hair days…BUT, I’m here to cheer you up with Day 34 of my Olicity Fanfiction Recommendations author, @emmilynestill​!  She’s provided me with endless amount of wonderful Olicity feels and I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

Another Kind of Island~ Futura was the state of the art biotech company out to change the face of the health food industry.  They were also the company that was going to save QC after Slade and Isabel left it in ruins. But Futura has plans for Oliver and Felicity that has nothing to do with the company and everything to do with revolutionizing human kind.  Post Season 2 AU that started out as a way to combine my favorite smut tropes and ended up as a sci-fi, fantasy adventure (that revolves heavily around smut).

It’s in the Air~ December 23, 2016.  It’s Mayor Queen’s first holiday party and love is in the air.No, wait, that’s tension in the air.  Bitterness.  Regret.  Painful longing for one’s former love.  Awkward interactions with current significant others.  A little humiliation mixed in.  Yup, this was one great party.Then the gas came.Maybe love was in the air afterall.

(Don’t) Let Me Go~ Felicity told him to let her go, but even when Oliver tried, it didn’t seem to be something he was capable of. In the end, there would be nothing in the world Felicity was more grateful for.Weaving in and out of the final four episodes of Season 5 and beyond, follow Oliver and Felicity’s emotional journey back to one another, one step at a time.

Ifs and Maybes~ Felicity returns home after helping to rescue Oliver’s son, the one she only found out about the day before, with more questions than answers, but after hearing him send his son away…again…she knows one thing.  She can’t do this.Then Oliver ruins her beautifully tragic exit, when he refuses to let her just walk out that door.An alternate ending to 4x15: Taken, more hopeful than the original and with a whole lot more yelling.

Our Lives as Heroes~ Season Four Olicity series that follows behind the scenes from before 4x01 to 4X09, then jumps ship completely in 4X13 and starts it’s own Universe.

Found~ What if after Ra’s Al Gul pushed Oliver off the mountain in The Climb, Mateo brought him to a secret ARGUS base to get medical treatment instead to a hut with his ex-wife?  Lyla would be notified and Team Arrow would want one of their own watching over him in his weakened state.An AU where Felicity is the one to help Oliver get back on his feet after his fight with Ra’s and not Tatsu. And that changes everything.
