“Finally, someone gets it. With all the lights and people taking over, we can hardly see them anymore. But that’s why we usually go out into the mountains, the secluded areas are the only places we can go to get a clear picture. And I didn’t ask you, nor did you ask me, but I definitely agree. Everyone is so obsessed with what’s happening down on Earth, they don’t have time to glance up even for a second.”

“Makes sense, but it’s a damn shame we have to do that in the first place. I wish people would take the sky into more consideration. There was a time we could see a lot more in the night sky, but with each day we say less and less,” Belinda sighed sadly. “Exactly. Everyone cares more about modern muggle devices and all those stupid social medias. Even wizards and witches have gotten sucked into that hole.”

“Of course we can. We can do whatever we set our minds to.”

“You give quite the pep talk, Gen. Ever considered being some sort of mental coach?”

“For you, maybe. Just because it doesn’t work for you, doesn’t mean it doesn’t work like that for me. Don’t be jealous, Vane.” 

“Fifth year? Billie! Why’d you tell me that? I could have lived in peaceful bliss.” 

“okay so we go in there get our drinks, ask if they put something in them and if they say no i’ll be forced to annoy them until they give up” lily joked with a smile.

“Sounds perfect!”

“Oh hmmm, I‘m not sure. I feel like I’ve been studying the stars ever since I could look up at the sky. But if you mean academically, I started renting books from the library, I know old school, when I was eight. Easy books, you know? But it was something”

“I know exactly what you mean,” Belinda smiled. “I’m just so glad to meet someone who loves the night sky as much as I do. I feel like people don’t look up much anymore. And with all these cities and light pollution, it’s getting harder to even see the stars. A real shame if you ask me.”

He gasps, bringing a hand to his heart as he shakes his head, “That’s the nicest thing you’ve ever said to me. I totally would be Baby Spice. You’d be ginger spice, obviously.””

“Are you studying the stars? Not that I’m biased or anything, but I think you chose quite possibly the best career that’s out there. Especially if your sleep schedule is already fucked.”

“I sure am! I’ve been passionate about Astronomy since I was a little girl,” Billie admitted with a smile. “How long have you studied the stars?”

“or maybe it’s a potion” she rambled lightly before smiling “i’m a very determined girl.”

“I guess anything’s possible,” Billie replied, smiling back at Lily, “That’s a good thing.”

“— i would expect nothing less.” Nikolai’s arms extend three quarters up the tower to grab the top lot of books, hauling them down into his arms. “you did not answer my question; light reading?” a chuckle.

“I have to say the only downside to charting the stars is the lack of sleep. You’d think I would have come up with a better system by now. Oh well, that’s the price I pay for the dream job.”

“My sleep schedule’s already fucked, so it looks like I chose the right career path.”

Isolde had just stepped out of Madam Malkin’s, her newly minted Quidditch robes in hand when a child ran to her  autograph book in hand. Isolde leant down with a kind smile on her lips as she signed the book and gave the child a hug. It was like Isolde had given her a huge ice cream cone, the five year old beamed back at her before scurrying off to her mother. Isolde stood up her gaze now turning to the familiar figure beside her. She folded her arms, ‘ Can I help you? ‘

“Not overdue, I’d hope? I can’t be linked to overdue books.” 

“Since when was I expecting it to? I don’t recall ever saying that, care to enlighten me of when I did?” 

“It would be. We should charge schools for our services, and ice cream expenses. I like to think bullies are just like us so I’d imagine they like all the normal flavors. I’m sure it is different for each one.”

“This actually sounds pretty solid. Do you really think we could pull it off?”

“― it looks very much like you have all of that under control, my dear. I was simply offering my assistance. damaging them would be quite the tragedy, would it not?”

“they literally make everything delicious there. maybe they use a spell”

“Even if they do, I doubt they give their secrets out to just anybody.”
