"Unless, of course, you tell me how much you think this ring is worth.  Maybe I'll decide then if you get it back or not."

     “Now tell me why, for real, and I’ll let you go, hmn? I might even help you do what you were trying to do in the prince’s room. How’s that for generosity?”

     Flonne crossed her arms, looking off to the side with a pout. She couldn't believe she had been caught before she even got to steal anything. This bothered her, and a lot at that.

     “Drop the act and tell me what’s going on before I find…other means to pry the truth off of your lips~ You know that my room is a no-go zone, entrance is forbidden, and I have no qualms with giving out punishment.”

     She knew Etna, was there any way  the demon would fall for Flonne's petty, transparent lies? She was either going to have to come clean, or hope that Etna just loses interest and leaves. She tried to smile, but found herself unable to. Her heart was pounding, it was dangerous to get caught by someone like Etna or Laharl  when you're in the act of stealing.

     “Looking for me, maybe? Or are you trying to sneak in and clean or something?” Her tone was carefully neutral. Etna didn’t appreciate it when people came into her room without invitation or permission. It usually meant she’d beat them to a pulp when she found out.

     This was naturally a lie, and she panicked to pick up the lockpick from the floor and stuff it back in her pocket, and proceeded to nervously fiddle with her thumbs.

        “Being awesome.”

"I wouldn't call it that..."

"What are you doing?"
