I guess I can kind of get why bisexuality is so strange to so many people. If you find it as difficult to comprehend as I find your orientation ... Yeah.
And asexuality too! Precisely as weird! Y'all just ... Don't want any of either?? Damn
But really I mean ... Really? Y'all look at a dick and you think "yum" but then look at a pussy and think "nah"?? Why???????
I'm so bi ... Like ... Sometimes I have moments like this where I just have to get it out how much heterosexuality and homosexuality bewilder me and I have no one in real life to tell this to that won't be insulted ...

âfor the recordâ by fierce pussy, 2013
things I wish someone had told me when I was recently coming to terms with being a woman who isnât straight:
1) if your first relationship with a girl is messy and you donât know how to go about it because you had little to no models of healthy w/w relationships around you, and you struggle and struggle and it doesnât work out and ends badly, it doesnât mean youâre straight or shouldâve stayed straight. it doesnât mean youâre never going to be happy with a woman. if your first experience, or second experience, or third experience with women isnât the rosy picture of bliss without any problems or struggles that you pictured it would be, it just means youâre human. donât hold the concept of relationships with other women up on a pedestal to be perfection; itâs wonderful and great to be with women but it might not save you from the things that are wrong in your life like you fantasized about when you were first coming to grips with your sexuality and it definitely wonât be without struggle because interpersonal relationships arenât ever without struggle and growth and change.Â
2) that feeling of panic and âIâm going to be alone forever Iâm never going to find another woman who loves me or âIâm not xyz like other gay/bi girls why would anyone want to be my girlfriendâ is a normal feeling. no, you arenât going to be alone forever, but feeling that way is something that nearly every one of us goes through.Â
3) you may find yourself idolizing the first relationship you have with another woman, youâre so relieved to have that âIâm going to be alone foreverâ feeling gone and that your sexuality is Real and Validated that you put all of your eggs in that basket and forget that thereâs even a possibility of it ending. you might find yourself terrified of that one relationship ending, or have it end and feel like you canât be alive anymore because the happiness had been so intense. if youâre someone who is also attracted to men, you might feel like these feelings are more intense or more overpowering than any time youâve been in love before. if you arenât attracted to men this might have been the first time you felt that way about anyone. and you might find yourself feeling irrationally paranoid that someoneâs going to take it away from you. if you break up with your first girlfriend you might find yourself more depressed or angry than youâve ever been about a breakup before. youâre going to be ok even if this relationship ends. you donât just get one chance at happiness with a woman. itâs like any other breakup, itâll suck but you will be alright. take a step back. realize what is healthy and unhealthy about the ways you are dealing. make new ties, heal, grow.
3) if a woman ever treats you abusively itâs ok to call it abuse, and some people in your so-called radical womenâs spaces are going to ostracize you for it like the hypocrites they are. some so-called radicals especially in certain separatist spaces are gonna push logic that tells u that abuse is a âjust a straight people thingâ, that being/staying with a girl is something you do to be radical, not to be happy, and if you âreally love womenâ then gay relationships wonât require any work and will automatically last forever / last longer / be healthy - those are lies, those are idealizations. although yes heterosexuality can propagate more chance of abuse due to misogyny, abuse is not Just a straight people thing, anyone can be an abuser. your abuser doesnât get let off the hook because sheâs also a woman. call it abuse. cut ties with the people who try to push back against that. cut ties with the people who tell you that your sexuality is better as a function of radicalness than of building happy, healthy relationships. realize that any relationship will take work and have flaws. make new ties, heal, grow.Â
4) itâs ok to not be experienced and to not know what to do. not knowing how flirting, dating, sex, etc is going to be and being nervous about that is a place where all of us are at one point - lesbians and bi women arenât a herd of super confident, experienced people who are all going to laugh at you or turn you down because you donât know what youâre doing. it can be intimidating to put yourself out there but youâre allowed to exist in the LGBT dating world / social scene without being experienced, I know thatâs a common worry.
5) you donât have to be attracted to every gay girl you meet, thatâs not a reason to second guess your attraction to women. you donât have to be attracted to or say yes to first girl who asks you out or flirts with you. you donât have to fall in love with the first girl you like, or the first girl you date. you might feel pressured to hurry up and get into a relationship with a woman, once again to âvalidateâ or âproveâ your sexuality but you donât have to rush to do that. if you come out and donât find a woman you want to be in a serious relationship with for years thatâs ok. if youâre sexually attracted to women and you come out and you donât have your first sexual experience with a woman for age thatâs ok. you should go on dates with / have sex with / get into relationships with people because youâre attracted to them, you want to, youâre excited about it, not because youâre trying to fill a hole where you think certain experiences should go ASAP. if Get A Girlfriend Right Now is your core goal youâre going to end up forcing yourself into interactions that arenât sincere, which is not only dishonest but also doesnât help at ALL with the whole second-guessing if you like women internalized homophobia thing.
6) if you have unrequited feelings for someone youâre not evil, youâre not pathetic and youâre not going to spend your whole life unhappy and stuck. best friends, straight women, people who live far away from you.. sometimes it can seem like you canât seem to fall for someone in your reach. thatâs normal too. you wonât be stuck forever. and you arenât terrible, you arenât predatory or a burden, your feelings arenât a curse on those around you. youâre a person.
this is is ok to reblog and add on to if you have other tips / things that you want to say; I just wanted to make a post reaching out to women who a) recently realized their sexuality, b) have known their sexuality but donât have much experience or c) are feeling isolated or unsure of themselves.
For everyoneâs information:
The plan for the 17th, when the adult content ban comes in, is to protest.
To do that, we are making as much noise either side of the 17th as possible, and using the site as normal.
On the 17th, dead silence.
People are saying log off but what they really mean is donât open the site or the app.
But, on the 17th make as much noise as possible on every other platform. Tweet about it and post on facebook and instagram and everywhere else.
What this does is causes a massive dip in ad revenue for one single day. That does not make staff think âoh everyoneâs gone letâs shut down.â What it actually makes them think is âoh shit people arenât happy and if people donât keep using our site weâre out of money and out of jobs.â
A boycott reminds a company that the users (consumers) have the power to make their site (business) worthless with one single coordinated decision.
If you want to join in, hereâs what to do:
Do:
Close all open instances of the app and site on all your devices before the 17th
Make posts before and after the 17th on tumblr and other platforms, talking about why this ban is bad
Make posts on other sites during the 17th. Flood the official tumblr staff twitter and facebook with your anger and your opinion
Come back on the 18th and check in
Donât:
Delete the app from your phone (this doesnât affect their revenue and since itâs off the store at the moment itâll be hard to get back)
Delete your account. I mean you can if you want to, but if you keep your account and donât use it youâre saying to staff that thereâs still time to save it. If you delete itâs hard work to come back.
Open the app or website (including specific blogs)
Make any posts (turn down/off your queue and make sure nothing is scheduled)
Go quiet elsewhere. Make it clear that this is just about tumblr, not a mass move away from all social media.
Remember: the execs donât care about anything but money. Shutting down the site means thereâs $0 further income from it. Thatâs their last possible course of action. If we make it clear weâre not happy, theyâll have to do something or we can do more and more until it becomes too expensive.
Protests take commitment. Theyâre a defiant action against a business that is doing something wrong. They will try to scare you into not participating, because theyâre scared. We hold all the power here, sometimes the execs just need to be reminded of that.
Space brain: Men ... And women ... Interact with you differently ... Cause of your gender and theirs ... Your relationships with them are different ... Doesn't it make sense ... That your attraction to them ... feels ... Not the same??

I'M EVEN INSECURE ABOUT ADMITTING I'M BI TO OTHER BISEXUALS WHAT THE FUCK
You know what, my straight partner is really accepting of my orientation and doesn't deserve being intentionally erased on this blog/in my interaction with queer spaces.
I'm a bi woman in a relationship with a man and if you think that invalidates my opinion I don't care.
And since we're already on it, shoutout to my boyfriend for
* never showing any prejudice whatsoever about my orientation
* not once questioning my orientation or voicing an Opinion on it
* not hypersexualizing my orientation
* literally asking me which women i find attractive with zero undertone
* not batting an eyelid when i disclosed i don't "identify as a woman"
* not batting an eyelid when i mentioned same-sex fantasy
* happily meeting me after pride with glitter and giddiness still in my system
I'm so glad that attractive people exist
you've heard of bisexuals now get ready for,
respecting their sexuality
Canât reblog fast enough
