Hi :) i decided to release a scene from a fic i'm writing that involves Ayano Aishi in her college years, as a 20 year old who has just found out she is pregnant with a child, and immediately knew who the father of her child is *(Musuko Ronshaku)*
Still though, despite the pregnancy she decides to keep it as she avoids talking or interacting with her so-called ex. who just found out she's pregnant with his kid, and wants to be in her life. possessive ahh ex-boyfriend, motherfker should've learned how to pull out lmao
Anyways enjoy reading it.
The characters feature as you read through are some characters from detras del juegos, how i imagine what they look like, at least just one.
The next day, Ayano didn’t attend college. That night, just before clocking out at the maid café, she approached her boss 'Pinku' because there was something she needed to say before she clock out. “A-um… Pinku, can we talk? It’s really important.” Pinku looked up at Ayano, her expression softening when she noticed how serious Ayano seemed to be. “Of course, Ayano. what is it? is something wrong? You look worried.”
Ayano took a slow breath and clasped her hands together. “I was wondering… if I could change my position. Maybe work as a dishwasher instead.” Pinku blinked. “A dishwasher? Why would you want that?” Ayano lowered her gaze. “Because… I’m pregnant.”
The room fell silent for a moment. Pinku’s eyes widened, and both hands flew to her mouth. “Wait, you’re pregnant?!” she exclaimed. “Oh my goodness, Ayano! Congratulations! I'm so happy for you!” Then her excitement shifted into concern. “But… oh my goodness you’re so young, Ayano dear. You’re only twenty years old.”
“Heh… thanks, Pinku.” Ayano gave a faint, unconvincing smile. She hesitated before continuing. “I know once my stomach starts showing, customers won’t want to see a pregnant maid serving them. I thought it would be better if I worked in the back instead.”
Pinku’s expression softened even more. She could hear the sadness hidden beneath Ayano’s practical tone. Then, after a pause, Pinku asked gently, “And… who’s the father?”
Ayano let out a quiet sigh, her expression dimming at the mention of the baby’s father. “...An ex-boyfriend of mine,” she said flatly.
“But...I really want this baby and i need the money, so that i can provide for them.” She looked down at the floor, fingers tightening around the edge of her overall skirt. “I don’t want to cause problems for you because of how I’ll look once my pregnancy shows. That’s why I thought working in the back would be less inconvenient.”
Pinku listened carefully, her cheerful demeanor fading into something gentler. Beneath Ayano’s calm, expressionless tone, she could hear the determination and fear within her. It was clear how much this child already meant to her.
She stepped closer and placed a comforting hand on Ayano’s shoulder. “Ayano, stop right there,” Pinku said firmly, but warmly. “You are not a burden to me, nor are you a burden to this café.” Ayano looked up, slightly startled.
“You’re one of my best employees, and I value you more than you know it.” Pinku gave her a small smile. “And besides, the maid uniform is going to become uncomfortable for you as your pregnancy progresses.” Her tone lightened just a little. “So I’ll transfer you to the dishwasher position immediately. No arguments.”
For the first time that night, Ayano seemed unsure what to say. Pinku squeezed her shoulder gently. “And Ayano… wanting to work hard for your baby isn’t something shameful. It’s something admirable.”
Ayano’s eyes nearly filled with tears. A small, grateful smile appeared on her face. “Thank you, Pinku… that means everything to me.”
Before Pinku could reply, the bell above the café door rang. A customer had stepped inside. “Oh, hello there,” Pinku said politely, slipping back into her welcoming tone. “I’m sorry, but we’re just about to close for the night. Please come again tomorrow.”
Ayano glanced over her shoulder only to feel her heart dropped. Standing in the doorway was Mitsuhiro Rokuda. He gave Pinku a brief nod, but his attention was entirely on Ayano the moment he saw her behind the counter.
Ayano quickly turn her gaze away, clearly avoiding eye contact as she felt her body tensing. She took a slow breath before turning back to Pinku. “Anyway, I should get going now. Thank you so much for everything, Pinku.” She stepped forward and wrapped her arms around Pinku in a sudden embrace, holding onto the kindness she had just been given while dread awaits her only a few feet away.
Mitsuhiro watched the two of them quietly, hands in his pockets, saying nothing as he waited.
Pinku hugged Ayano back warmly. “Oh, don’t worry about it, Ayano. Anytime,” she said with a gentle smile. “I’ll see you tomorrow, Ayano dear. And if anything happens, you let me know, alright?” Ayano gave a small nod and slowly pulled away from the hug.
Ayano nodded and offered Pinku a polite goodbye. Pinku waved cheerfully, unaware of the heavy tension hanging between the two of them.
Mitsuhiro stepped to the side, allowing the other employees to leave first as they passed by the entrance. “Bye, Pinku! See you tomorrow!” one of the employees called out. “Goodnight, everyone! Get home safe!” Pinku replied brightly, waving them off.
Mitsuhiro said nothing. His jaw tightened as he watched Ayano try to slip past him without a word. She kept her eyes forward, moving toward the door as if he weren’t there at all.
The moment she's within arm's reach, he grabs her wrist gently but firmly. "Ayano." His voice was low, strained, almost pleading.
Ayano quickly pulled her wrist free from Mitsuhiro’s grasp. Without looking back, the moment she stepped outside the maid café, expecting to create some distance between herself and him to allow herself to breathe some fresh of air and space, at least for a moment.
Instead, she stopped cold the moment she saw who was waiting for her outside. Kashiro Murasaki, Han Daidaiyama, and Hoshirou Mizudori, all three of Mitsuhiro’s closest friends gathered outside of the building.
Ayano stared at them for a second, then her expression tightened. “Oh... you have got to be fucking kidding me...” she muttered under her breath. She let out a slow, irritated breath.
Of course Mitsuhiro had brought them, why wouldn't he?
If she tried to walk away, there would be someone to block her path, someone to convince her to stay, someone to make sure he got the conversation he wanted. Mitsuhiro had always been stubborn, but this was a new level of determination.
Her eyes flicked briefly toward the café door behind her, then back to the group in front of her. There was no easy exit this time. She didn’t need to turn around to know he was right behind her.
She exhaled slowly, steadying herself, while the night air felt suddenly heavier than before.
His friends stand nearby, giving the space but clearly there for Mitsuhiro support. Hans goes first as he speaks up to her. "Ayano bae, we just want to talk. You haven't been responding to Hiro's calls or messages."
Ayano said nothing. Of course she hadn’t. She had blocked his number the moment he found out about her pregnancy. And now, standing here in person, there was no way for her to avoid him.
Mitsuhiro runs a hand through his hair frustrated, his voice low and intense as he tries to keep his emotions in check. "Ayano, please..." he said lowly. "Just give me five minutes. That's all i'm asking. Five fucking minutes of your time."
Ayano clicked her tongue and tried to step past them, but another one of his friends, Kashiro moved slightly in her way, not blocking her harshly, but enough to stop her escape. “Come on, Ayano” Kashiro said gently, looking down at her. “Just give him a chance. It’s only five minutes.”
Ayano stopped. For a moment, her eyes closed. Her shoulders rose slightly with a quiet breath, as if she was holding back.
She then turned around fully to face Mitsuhiro. “What do you want from me, Rokuda?”
“To talk. To just talk to you, to have a conversation without you running away or ignoring me.” Mitsuhiro stepped closer, lowering his voice. “Are you really pregnant… with my kid?”
Ayano instinctively took a small step back. A heavy silence settled over them. His friends watched closely as the mood shifted. Ayano’s gaze dropped to her still-flat stomach. Slowly, she placed a hand over it, her expression unreadable as she let out a quiet sigh. “Yeah… I am.” Her fingers moved in small, absent circles over her abdomen before she looked back up at him. “Appearantly, i forgot to take the pill that day.”
His friends reacted first. A couple of shock and uneasy glances were exchanged, surprise flashing across their faces, the reality of what she had just said hitting them all at once. Mitsuhiro, however, barely noticed them. His focus stayed locked on Ayano.
When she looked down at her stomach and admitted it the truth, the shock and anger twisting together in his expression with something more vulnerable underneath his heart. He dragged both of his hands through his hair, pulling slightly at the strands of his hair.
“Fuck…” he muttered under his breath. Then his voice rose, strained and almost painful. “Ayano, why didn’t you tell me sooner?” His jaw tightened as he exhaled through his nose, trying—and failing—to steady his tone. “I have rights too, you know.” His voice rose slightly, not quite anger, but overwhelmed frustration.
Ayano stared at him, disbelief written across her face. “Rights? What rights?” Her eyes then shifted to his group of friends standing nearby, all of them watching the argument unfold. The sight only made her more uncomfortable.
“Also why are they here?” she demanded. “Why did you have to bring your stupid friends over?” She then glared directly at them. “And what the fuck are you guys even doing here for?”
Mitsuhiro’s expression twisted between anger and hurt. “Rights as the father, you idiot!” he snapped, raising his voice.
Hans immediately stepped forward, placing himself between them, while Kashiro moved in beside Ayano. Hoshirou stayed back, silently observing. “Mitsuhiro, hey calm down, man,” Hans said firmly. He then turned to Ayano. “We’re here because Mitsuhiro’s been a fucking mess ever since he found out.”
Ayano threw one hand toward Mitsuhiro in frustration. “I’m not asking him to be in my life!” she shot back. “I’m not asking him for anything!”
“Yeah, yeah we know that already,” Hans replied, his tone more measured now. “But he wants to be involved now that you’re pregnant with his kid. He wants to be a father in this baby’s life.” He paused before adding, “And honestly… he deserves to know, Ayano.”
Ayano opened her mouth, then faltered, as she was too stunned to speak. A frustrated groan escaped her as she dragged both hands over her face, trying to block out the voices around her. Irritation burned through her chest, hot and overwhelming.
She stood there for a moment, forcing herself to breathe, gathering what little patience she had left before turning back to face him. When she looked at Mitsuhiro again, her sharp eyes were full of anger. This was exactly what she had wanted to avoid. She never wanted him to find out about her pregnancy. And even if some part of her still loves him, she knew better than to trust that feeling.
Three years with him had taught her enough: the fights, the instability, the constant breaking up and getting back together, the exhausting cycle that never truly changed.
She could already see it happening again if she let him in. Whatever feelings her heart remained, they were not enough to make him the kind of presence she wanted in her life or their unborn child's life.
"Ayano...I'm not trying to argue with you or make your life harder than it is. I just want to be part of my child's life too."
