However, my dad's carer does physical therapy with my dad every morning. Mostly some stretches. It was noted that the dog was behaving really weird during and after this process, like crying and begging for attention, and we figured out why.

Anyway, once dad's PT is done, the dog rolls over onto his back on the bed and dad's carer has to give the dog's limbs a gentle stretching session. Apparently physical therapy is a pack activity. He's very well behaved as long as he knows he'll get his stretches once dad is done.
