Byakuya Kuchiki was an interesting character. Formerly the Master of Seireitei, Japan, he was now the Master of a small town called Mystic Falls in the States. However, though Mystic Falls be small, it was also very…intriguing. Enough to grab Aizen’s attention, anyway. Home of the Ripper of Monterey and his explosive brother Damon, and a frequent destination of the notorious Klaus and Elijah Mikaelson, this sleepy town was not all it seemed.

It was not hard to find Kuchiki, perched up in his estate like a king. Aizen sauntered up to the door and knocked three times, checked his watch, and then slid his hand into his pocket. A member of the camerilla answered the door, and he smiled.

Byakuya had sensed the other Master’s presence as he approached, and pinpointed the sick feeling it gave him. He hadn’t felt that energy in years, longer than the months that he’d taken over Mystic Falls. And now, Sosuke Aizen had come to call. 

He sauntered down to the hall as he was called, making the man wait. It was rude, perhaps, and a slight against the other Master. But Byakuya felt the man could wait even the littlest bit.
