studying urasawa’s monster, what a masterpiece

God remember when he pulled a freaking gun on himself - to his damn temple and he was like if I’m gone then Kevin Goodman will have to draw Billy Bat. And he was saying shti like ‘fakes disappear’ and ‘finally i can be at peace’?? And he had his finger resting on the damn trigger JFCCCcc

Look at me! Look at me! The monster inside of me has grown this big!

Yawara by Naoki Urasawa has some wonderful chapter covers. A great example of 80s fashion in manga.

It was my first time going to see a artist talk like this, because I hate the traffic to LA, and getting surrounded by crowds in a small limited space but this year I decided to motivate myself more as a artist so I went. So. Overall. It was too great. 2 hours went went really fast. I wish I was a translator for him so I could’ve talk more. His techniques and idea process was interesting but my favorite was when he talked about other manga artists and what they discuss. I can talk forever about it so I’m going to stop right here. I’m going to reread PLUTO now …
