Icebreaker & First Time Meeting Starters

“Aha!”  Sven wasn’t facing the young boombox bot when they approached, so he simply rotates his head all the way back so he can look at them.  His body follows within a few seconds with a rattling sound.  “So you are, so you are!”  He smiles a wide toothy smile.  “New and lost, quite the combination!  Indeed!”  He bounces in place slightly, his long tail swishing behind him.  “Well you’re talking to the right magician, this is my domain, after all!”  

Sven tilts his head to the side.  “You’re very unfamiliar to me.  I make it my business to know my audience but you’re a stranger, stranger!”  He ponders a moment, “You must be from that new place!  The Ligntners must have brought you.”  He nods to himself, “That would explain things, yes indeed… SO~!”  He hops into the air, floating in front of k_k, at eye level.  “What’s your name, what are you looking for and-” Sven holds up a deck of cards, pulled from nowhere.  “Pick a card.”

k_k’s entire expression lights up in delight at the way sven’s head pivots. they can do that too, winding up their neck coil. but they’ve never seen anyone else do it! more than that, though, they’re grateful for the warm welcome, whole body visibly relaxing a little.

♯ cool! ♯ a magician!

disc-sized eyes gleam with delight, and their smile stretches wide.

♯ i’m k_k! ♯ we just moved here. ♯ well... ♯ we didn’t really... move? ♯ it was more like, um, ♯ we were in our shop in cyber city... ♯ and then we were here? ♯ WAIT was that magic??? ♯ you’re a magician, do you know??

large hands clap together, pleased to meet someone who matches their exuberant energy. 

♯ i’m looking for my friends, sweet and cap’n. ♯ we’re roommates, but i haven’t seen them since we got here.

they pluck a card from the deck, not even looking at it, simply waving it around as they talk with their hands.

Icebreaker & First Time Meeting Starters

“S-sure!  Yeah!”  She pipes up, jamming her hands into the front pocket of her hoodie.  She’s been in the music shop at least two dozen times since it had opened, but this is the first time she’s actually talked to any of the trio that ran the place.  She always had her hood up, ears tucked out of sight.  But after relentless teasing from Seam and Sven about needing to buck up and just start talking to people.  She was never going to make any friends if she just hid in Seam’s shop or in the theater.

“So…………………………..”  Pink eyes dart around the room.  “Any words that come to her die on her tongue.  “Uh… I saw you and the other two at our show last night.  Did… Did you guys like it?”

he’s a little embarrassed. okay, a lot embarrassed, but cap’n is certain that this is not his fault. how was he supposed to notice that the rabbit girl had been watching him? that, in sweet’s words, she was interested in him? it’s not that cap’n doesn’t pay attention to the ladies — quite the opposite. but she never talked to any of them either, so that’s on her, he figures.

but he’d made a real fool of himself the other night at the performance, and now here she is. cap’n is aware that sweet and k_k are listening in from behind the door, after having graciously abandoned him here alone as soon as she walked in.

luckily, he has more charm than either of them combined. no biggie.

♮hell yeah! ♮we had a blast. ♮that guy —  ♮you know, the uh, the guy —

♮he was good and all, but personally? ♮i was watching you.

the problem with sweet being nothing but a couple of stereo speakers is that they’re very bad at being quiet. cap’n hears snickering from behind the door.

he gives her a once over, tugging his shades down a bit and crossing his arms.

    “ THAT’S WHAT I’M SAYIN’, BRO !!  i’ve cracked the code… like man, i’ve busted it wide open. this is the finding of a century, dude – like, science people should be asking to quote me right now. “

    “ sciencers… sciencees ? whatever they’re called. “

♮oh, dude,  YEAH — ! ♮ man, you like, totally solved it. ♮ we should - call someone, or something, maybe...?

Layla said with a beam as she rested her chin on top of Cap'n's head, arms wrapped around him in a gentle embrace. / UNPROMPTED.

cap’n starts slightly at the feeling of layla’s arms around him, but immediately he laughs, leaning back into her embrace and tipping his head back to grin at her slyly.
