The Inner Machinations of My Mind are an Enigma

a. amazon knows exactly how many workers were in that warehouse, it's a big number, and they're working with their PR, legal, and marketing teams before disclosing any information or

b. since it's right before christmas, amazon is working a bunch of people under the table rn on top of their normal shifts so they really might not have an exact headcount or

c. a modified theory of the one above, but amazon has some crazy mandatory overtime and may have had an absolute boatload of people on the clock longer than they should have been, possibly in violation of the law

An Amazon warehouse in Illinois collapsed during a tornado on Friday evening. The collapse killed at least six people within the warehouse. The local authorities "had some difficulty determining how many people were in the facility", which is what this post refers to - Amazon almost certainly knows exactly how many people were inside, and are keeping that information to themselves.
