“My cat squanchy was found as a stray in 2021. He was chipped, but his owners didn’t want him anymore. We knew immediately he would be a great fit for our little family. He is such a sweet boy. So so much personality. He loves anyone he meets, and anyone he meets loves him.

Since the start of March, his health has been declining. It started out with him sneezing and being congested. He was put on medication and was expected to be better within a week or so. He has only gotten worse and now has developed scabs covering his nose and now spreading to his mouth. After 5-6 visits to his vet, countless tests, and thousands of dollars spent, they told me they don’t know how else to help. They referred me to an internal medicine specialist. As I write this he is currently there getting an ultrasound. The cost of that alone is $950. They want to do X-rays, bloodwork, place a feeding tube, do a biopsy on his nose, urinalysis, and other tests as well.

We are hoping to get more answers, but I was told to expect to pay $2,000-$3,000 for this visit today, if not more. Money is already tight, and with all these bills, I’m not sure how much more we can afford. I’m going to do everything I can to help him, but I am fearful of what the future holds for him, as well as financially. My family recommended making a go fund me with the hopes of getting some help with these bills. As of right now I have spent around $4,000, and I’m expecting for that to probably double after today’s appointment. I do not expect anyone to donate. I know times are tough for everyone right now. Knee Dislocation…. TWO!

So technically its actually like dislocation five but who’s counting amirite. Anyways the last two out of those happened within the past two days and I cannot walk on that leg, it will most likely need a custom brace and I have no idea if insurance will cover it. I have a nearly 40 hour a week job with regular 8 hour shifts on my feet moving around, and I’m also trying to move out of my abusive parents’ house so ya know, prices racking up lol! Fuck that noise. It's disgusting. There are untold numbers of people fleeing the Taliban right now, across the whole country, with all of them -- but especially women and anyone who might be accused of helping the old government/foreign armies -- fearing for their lives.

The Western countries that have spent two decades fucking up Afghanistan have a duty of fucking care to the civilians left behind.

Breaking news as of 16 August 2021 is that the Afghan president and all other government officials have fled Kabul. The "last stronghold" that was predicted to "hold out against the Taliban for three months" has fallen within a week, and most civilians in that city and others that have been overrun are now fearing for their lives.

“You’re holding her wrong!” I shouted over the cacophony of the world ending.

“What?!” he shouted back.

“The snake!” I cried. “You’ve got to support her—don’t squeeze!”

please i really need help, i havent had anything substantial to eat in days now and i’m having brain fog. i need just a couple dollars and i can eat. i haven’t been able to get my medication or HRT for months now and i feel miserable. i got my car totaled in a head on collision by a speeding driver in February of this year that left me in debt and permanently with chronic pain + being a really, really traumatic experience. i live alone and i’m very, very behind on rent and i have nowhere to go since my parents kicked me out when they found out i was trans. i’m honestly really, really scared and i don’t know how stuff is going to work out for me here.
