2019 was a year of a lot of self portraits. was it self indulgent? yes. will there be less self insert art in 2020? absolutely not.

when i saw into the spider-verse last year i fell in absolute LOVE with it and i also fell in love with the spidersona art trend that emerged. this was the product of my design session! they dont have a concrete name because im super indecisive when it comes to naming characters oops! theyre were bitten by a cobalt blue tarantula on a date at the zoo or somethin. theyre a college student and they protect the city around their campus. im honestly super proud of this design and posting it now really makes me want to work on them more

one of my art resolutions for 2019 was to improve on general anatomy. this was one of the (few) anatomy studies i did! im particularly proud of how that full body one turned out! and that one on the bottom doesnt have a head because i didnt care lmao

Finally!! It's been so long since I've uploaded any art, but I had a very good reason! I got a new sketchbook at the beginning of 2019 and started it on the first of the year, and I had hoped to fill it out before the year's end. I didn't quite finish the sketchbook, but I did get pretty close. I filled out at least 100 pages, which is a lot for me! I wanted to start the year with a Jay, because she's my favorite character to draw. Then I started and finished a WIP before the months end which I'm very proud of! I usually have a bunch of WIPs sitting around in my sketchbooks that will probably never get finished, but I made it a point to finish most everything that I worked on this past year! I also did some outfit planning in the bottom left, which was really fun! I have a ton of art in this sketchbook that I'm very proud of, and I can't wait to share it all!
