So this is love...

if I never see you again I will always carry you inside outside on my fingertips and at brain edges and in centers centers of what I am of what remains.

I love you neither with my heart nor with  my mind. Just in case the heart might stop, the mind can forget. I love you with my soul.  Soul never stops or forgets.

and then there are some who believe that old relationships can be revived and made new again. but please if you feel that way don’t phone don’t write don’t arrive

Please don’t expect me to always be good and kind and loving. There are times when I will be cold and thoughtless and hard to understand.

I don’t treat you the way I do because I want something in return. I treat you the way I do because that’s the only way I can be at peace with myself. So no, I don’t expect the same kindness in return. But wouldn’t it be nice, for just once to be treated in a similar fashion?
