My version of English translated lyrics of 時には昔の話を (Once in a While, Talk of the Old Days) from the ending of 紅の豚 (Porco Rosso) 

Long story short, I have a lot of free time working at my JHS in Japan, so I often practice Japanese by translating anime lyrics into English to pass time.  I’ve gotten up the courage to start recording a few, and I was happy enough with this one to post it for some feedback. I’m still new to recording and sound editing. I’m also nowhere near a professional singer, and I have no actual vocal training, so forgive the places it sounds wonky. Please let me know how you like the lyrics! Piano arrangement used is from a Joe Hisaishi collection, and I don’t own it. Please also enjoy my translation of If Enveloped in Tenderness (優しさに包まれたなら) from 魔女の宅急便 (Kiki’s Delivery Service) and The Name of Life (命の名前) from 千と千尋の神隠し (Spirited Away). Lyrics below the cut
