The official Battlestar Galactica Fan Club Membership Cards have arrived — and they are nothing short of legendary. The old one has been revise and upgraded.🛡️✨

These exclusive, membership cards will be issued to members who have been officially registered with the BFC for 90+ days and have remained active participants across our social media platforms.

Yes — loyalty and engagement matter. Like the old saying goes, what you put into your membership is what you get out of it.

Membership status will be verified directly through the official BFC website. When signing up, please ensure you register using your real full name and a valid email address to qualify. Incomplete or inaccurate information may delay verification.

This isn’t just a card.

It’s proof you’re part of the fleet. 🚀

The gold/maroon one are for those who holds any type of leadership within the BFC and or Fleet and also VIP status.

The gray one is for regular membership.

Your full name, callsign (if you have one), status (whether military or civilian), rank if any and joined date, will be pre-filled on it and signed by BFC Leadership. The card is not valid until signed by the BFC Leadership. Then, it will be sent to you electronically. It’s as simple as that.

Laurette Spang-McCook, credited as Laurette Spang, is an American television actress born in Buffalo, New York and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She grew up as the middle child of a chemist father and housewife mother. Laurette has an older brother, Richard and a younger sister, Marilyn.

After studying acting in New York, Spang journeyed to Los Angeles and was subsequently spotted by a talent scout working for Universal Pictures. She landed roles on a number of television shows and movies, including 𝘈𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘴 𝘚𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘑𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘴, 𝘈𝘥𝘢𝘮-12, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘚𝘢𝘯 𝘍𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘰, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘪𝘦’𝘴 𝘈𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘭𝘴. Laurette Spang is best known for her role as Cassiopeia in the 1978 television movie 𝘉𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳 𝘎𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘢 and continuing on with her character in the science fiction TV series created by Glen A. The only Cylon Raider in existence, Raider One, is preparing to breach Comicpalooza 2025! This silver anniversary of the Battlestar Galactica Fanclub LLC just became a whole lot more dangerous… and epic. Will humanity survive this historic encounter, or will we need to reboot our escape plans?

Intel reports that Raider One is gearing up to amaze attendees, joining the special guests confirmed for this milestone celebration as special guest of the BFC.

📍So far, five out of six invited guests from both the original and RDM series have accepted their invitations—who will be next?

Comicpalooza has come and gone! And it was a wonderful return to George R. Brown Convention Center after six years of absence. It has grown a lot since the last time we were here because my feet has never been tired like this before. It was good seeing familiar faces that we have befriended in past events like the Starship USS Zavala NCC-100101, BBZcustoms, MechCorps Entertainment whom we have done charity events in the past at another convention. Members of the The 501st Legion were there. There were lots of beautiful cars on display. My boys got busy playing tournament games. They also wanted to adopt another dog but their father said no because we already have two big dogs that is a handful. But we do have to say, ADOPT! DON’T SHOP! Five those furbabies a second chance in life. There were plenty of food but as always, they were very expensive. That is convention prices for you. The convention also need to find a way for to identify people that are helping out that has a different convention badge that might want to explore the convention hall before it opens up to the public. They use to use sticker to identify those people. Maybe they need to bring back. They also have more police patrolling the floor which is a plus for safety wise for those in attendance. I also met some old friends from the my paintball community “Spyro” and his wife “Bunny” who owns Spyridian Productions, where I bought this wonderfully crafted Colonial Viper, and “TAZ”.

Lastly, we want to thank those who came out and help support us especially members of the the formerly TCF now the 13th Colonial Fleet, the Battlestar Galactica Fan Club (2000)™️ Deputy Vice President Leslie Willis, my partner in crime for this event, James Joplin, Mina Frannea and her husband and Christian Smith. We were successful in promoting the event for next year as business cards were flying out of our tables.

Edward James Olmos is a Mexican-American actor and director best known for his roles as William Adama in the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica, Lt. Martin Castillo in Miami Vice, teacher Jaime Escalante in Stand and Deliver, patriarch Abraham Quintanilla in the film Selena, Detective Gaff in Blade Runner, and narrator El Pachuco in both the stage and film versions of Zoot Suit. He recently starred as Professor Gellar in Showtime’s serial killer series, Dexter.

Olmos became the first American-born Hispanic to receive an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor, in Stand and Deliver, for his portrayal of a real-life math teacher, Jaime Escalante. Olmos starred as the taciturn police Lieutenant Martin Castillo in the television series Miami Vice, opposite Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas. He was awarded a Golden Globe and an Emmy in 1985 for his work in the series. He starred alongside Jennifer Lopez in the film Selena. Olmos played Dominican Republic dictator Rafael Leónidas Trujillo in the movie In the Time of the Butterflies. He also had a recurring role as U.S. Supreme Court Justice Roberto Mendoza in the NBC drama The West Wing.

He has been a longtime pioneer for more diversified roles and images of Hispanics in the U.S. media. Along with appearances in television classics like Starsky & Hutch and CHiPs, Olmos has also appeared in Mayans MC, George Lopez, CSI: NY, Eureka, and Portlandia. His other notable film roles include The Burning Season, The Judge, and The Green Hornet.
