               “mind giving me a lift, supergirl?” he’s smirking, head tilting back in a show of gesturing toward the skyscraper at their right. “would prove to be faster than you having to wait on me.”

        Cat Grant left CatCo in the hands of James Olsen less than twenty four hours ago and already Kara can feel her world slipping from beneath her feet. It’s one thing to be starting some new job in the middle of what could only be described as an ALIEN midlife crisis, but it’s another thing to be starting that job with NO TRAINING and no one to actually watch her back. True, James has her back ( in all of the aspects of her life ) but Cat told her to pull up her big girl pants, and so pulling up her big girl pants is exactly what she’s going to do.

               Does Snapper have to be so mean all the time though?

       “ Right -- no Mr. Carr....I know Mr. Carr...yes I was just leaving her office I’ve got great notes -- ” She’s nearly certain that Lena Luthor would happy if this was the last she’d seen of Kara Danvers, but at least she trusts her. ( As much as a Luthor trusting an alien can be  measured. ) Snapper Carr, on the other hand, had NO FAITH in Kara. “ I’m going to find a place to write this -- you’re right Mr. Carr maybe my apartment is the right place... ” Finally he seemed to be done reaming her out for...whatever it is she did wrong. Her phone goes in her pocket just as she pushes herself off the ground to get back to her apartment complex that much faster.

         Of course no amount of flying will stop her from still being Kara Danvers and being unable to turn the key of her door when she finally does make it to her complex. “ You can save the city...but you can’t open a door...good going Danvers. ” Hopefully no one is in the hall listening to her mumbles.

      “ -- -- -- you don’t know the half of it. ” She clears her throat, shifting through  the papers now lining the edges of the table she’s made her own at this probably too public location. It was better than her lack of chair situation still going on back at the office. If Snapper would just let her have a place to PUT her computer she might actually be able to get him articles in a timely fashion. After all her last few seemed to be a rousing success.

“Turns out that staying out of trouble is a lot harder than you think,” Stiles sympathized, shaking his head. “Even moving to a new city doesn’t guarantee that you’ll be able to stay on the straight and narrow.” He made a face at her. “I tried that one too, and yet. Here I am, in trouble again.”

      The first time Oliver and Barry introduced her to this FIGHT CLUB she practically screamed in excitement. ( Like any of the others were any less excited. ) Now it’s a rare time when she’s able to take her superfriends up on any kind of misadventure -- but for the moment the world is as calm as calm can be. Well, at least her world is.

       Dimension jumping isn’t exactly an EASY feat, but she’s happy when Barry offers her an opportunity to slip away ( if only for a few hours ) What she doesn’t realize is that CENTRAL CITY needs him, and before she can protest the door closes and she thinks she might be on her OWN -- doesn’t that defeat the purpose of fight club?

     Nope -- not alone. The lights flicker on above Kara’s head and she smiles when she looks forward. It’s not OLIVER or BARRY, but someone whose fighting style may be even more her opposite. “ Sara -- ” She has about fifteen seconds to make the connection before there’s a loud BOOM from the left side of the room.

         Roy frowns and scratches at his head as he considers this. Watching the news? “Seems …inconvenient.” He shrugs though, pursing his lips and leaning his head onto her shoulder. “Hmm… You know, I could probably get you hooked up with some kind of… better communication system… Not going anywhere tonight, right?” Slowly, he sinks down even more, head falling into her lap as though this is going to ensure that she won’t go anywhere.

       He isn’t from around here. That’s the words that keep replaying in her head as she stares at the SPEEDSTER in front of her. He’s fast -- is he faster than Barry Allen? -- but so is she. She thinks, for just a moment, that her own speed could be enough to set him off his course. He’s wearing a different suit, but she assumes he’s from BARRY’S world. ( that scares her. ) How did he get here? Why terrorize her city?

                    “ You won’t -- and you WON’T hurt anyone in this town again. ” Kara’s voice grows louder as her confidence begins to fade. It’s a coping mechanism she’s picked up from too many failed fights over the last year. She has enough to worry her. WHY did this speedster pick her Earth?

         There’s something so damn beautiful about a girl who can eat like that. It’s something to do with the whole alien thing but Roy’s used to it. “So what – do you just get a sense when something’s going wrong?” He smirks and leans back, scooting closer to her and leaning almost obnoxiously close. “Well if you need to go, count me out – the last thing I need is for people to think you’ve got a hot sidekick or something.” Not to mention their fighting styles don’t really match up.
