Now that nattys season has begun, here are a few reminders:
- These are all kids so be kind!
- It’s not a good look for us full grown adults to be raging about how kids we don’t even know performed
- don’t post anything negative on social media, most dancers are on TikTok and instagram (& their parent could be here on tumblr) and can see it
- Nationals is super scary, so mistakes happen, we’re all human
- these kids have a ton of pressure on them already, so be mindful of what you post (even if ur trying to be nice, saying something like “if you don’t win im quitting” could make someone feel pressured)
- if you think someone else should’ve won, that’s fine but you really don’t need to say it publicly
- so much more than just the dance offs are considered in nationals so just because you think some people should’ve placed higher in the dance offs, doesn’t mean there’s some sort of bias
- you can lift someone up without tearing someone else down
- everyone has worked the butts off the entire season for this so no matter who wins, they truly deserve it
- be ready for the crazy dance mom posts hehe
