I will never not reblog this woman. She a hero.
The student of Torah is like the amnesia victim who tries to reconstruct from fragments the beautiful world he once experienced. By learning Torah, man returns to his own self.

One day a Yid from Yerushalayim traveled to Bnei Brak to ask the legendary Rosh Yeshiva of Ponevezh, Rav Shmuel Rozovsky, about a boy in the Yeshiva for his daughter who reached eligible age.
He asked the Rosh Yeshiva how many hours a day the boy learned. Was he punctual in...

Right after mikveh!
My lack of posts are contributed to an immense amount of stress and responsibilities. However, I am officially making my favorite post of them all. On August 16, 2013 I will be going into the mikveh, B"H, and will officially be able to say that I am Jewish!

If statistics are right, the Jews constitute but one percent of the human race. It suggests a nebulous dim puff of stardust lost in the blaze of the Milky way. properly, the Jew ought hardly to be heard of, but he is heard of, has always been heard of. He is as prominent on the planet as any other people, and his commercial importance is extravagantly out of proportion to the smallness of his bulk. His contributions to the worldās list of great names in literature, science, art, music, finance, medicine, and abstruse learning are also away out of proportion to the weakness of his numbers. He has made a marvelous fight in this world, in all the ages; and had done it with his hands tied behind him. He could be vain of himself, and be excused for it. The Egyptian, the Babylonian, and the Persian rose, filled the planet with sound and splendor, then faded to dream-stuff and passed away; the Greek and the Roman followed; and made a vast noise, and they are gone; other people have sprung up and held their torch high for a time, but it burned out, and they sit in twilight now, or have vanished. The Jew saw them all, beat them all, and is now what he always was, exhibiting no decadence, no infirmities of age, no weakening of his parts, no slowing of his energies, no dulling of his alert and aggressive mind. All things are mortal but the Jew; all other forces pass, but he remains. What is the secret of his immortality?

Solitude is the creation of true experience. And from solitude comes true relationships. This is why the Torah was given in the desert.

This is my current art piece Iām working on. Still have to add the siddur and adjust a few details. Just thought Iād share since Iām immensely lacking in posts lately
āBecause the beginning of redemption is only when you feel the bitternessā - From the Sod Yesharim, Ishbitzer Rebbe explaining the deeper meaning of eating the Marror.
Today is Pesach Sheni & I finally had a brand new insight on this. It means that you only change when you feel so bitter, so pained by a present reality that you say it must change. Which is exactly what happened with the Jewish souls in Egypt - they reached a point where they couldnāt take it anymore and screamed out to God.
So know this secret - if you canāt take something anymore - if youāve reached a point of too much pain - thatās the beginning of redemption, thatās when youāll change.

āHow can I improve my character? I am still young (19) and want to form good habits and such while I can. Specifically, Iād like to be less selfish, materialistic, and lazy. What should I do? Do you have any recommendations? Iām Jewish, regularly go to synagogue,...
It is good to set aside a specific time everyday to open your heart and speak out your problems to God, but the rest of the day be only happy - Rebbe Nachman
