I definitely need more practice but I’m not too mad about it. Been wearing mitpachot casually for a few weeks now and I feel more connected to my body spiritually than I think I ever have before.
Next paycheck I’m probably spending way too much at Wrapunzel.
It would be nice if I could find other transfem Jews and giyorot who wear mitpachot but if I have to be the representation i want in the world, oh well I guess I will.
Shavua Tov to everyone!
Hey, y’all. Remade my account since it has been so long. I was @tikvahhh and am gonna try to be more active here.
Intro- I’m Channa, your local giyoret waiting on the pandemic to kindly stop so I can reschedule my mikveh dip. I’m poly, queer, a mom to an absurd amount of pets and study religious studies at Uni. I’m 27, use she/her/they/them and play a lot of animal crossing when not working. I’m autistic among a few other things so just tell me what’s up.
New Jumblr™ Blog!
Hello! I am a prospective convert to Judaism who is currently converting through the Conservative movement, though I’m questioning switching to an Orthodox process (not sure where I theologically stand atm). I just made this blog because I would like to discuss Judaism and theology with fellow converts-in-progress and the Jewish peeps of Tumblr.
I love talking about G-d and halakha and Torah, and I will probably make a post about my conversion journey sometime soon.
Also, I would love to talk to Jewish people/prospective converts from any movement of Judaism, not just Conservative or Orthodox! I would like to make friends with everyone :)

- Shema - V'ahavta - Birkat Kohanim
I went sharp near the end of the V'ahavta due to being nervous.
Honestly, debate kinda demands you commodify identities for ballots when you face exclusionary rhetoric. This is meh when your status in that group is solid. But man, when you're, like, something like a conversion student to Judaism and you hit some antisemitic bullshit, that's really awful because the identity isn't really yours to commodify but that doesn't mean you aren't thrown off by the argument and effectively unable to debate.
