being trans is easier when youre white.

being gay is easier when youre white.

being disabled is easier when youre white.

being a woman is easier when youre white.

being autistic is easier when youre white.

oppression is eased when you are white, as you get extra privileges, and your whiteness is seen as a positive characteristic that in some ways counter-balances your other forms of being a minority. whiteness controls everything.

you are automatically way more innocent in your own oppression as a gay, trans, disabled person because of your whiteness.

- m/f ship between a nonblack man & a Black woman

- it's either canon (e.g. mel/jayce arcane, arthur/guinevere bbcmerlin) or entirely plausible (e.g. prism or coupé/robert dispatch)

- fanbase overwhelmingly pairs nb man off with another nb man and disengages from the Black woman character, shunting her into a background wise & sassy caretaker role (for which there is a name) or leaving her out of fanworks entirely

- fans who do this ^ claim it is an expression of love and admiration for the Black woman character, actually, bc the nb man (who may be her canonical partner) "can't handle all that" (he may be perfectly competent and engaged; she may be totally low maintenance; it has no bearing), she's just too wonderful (too much) and out of his league (lacking in flaws and interiority and fan appeal)

People don't discuss enough that Dio Brando is straight up is a sexual predator. Part 1 Dio, the scene with Erina, the scene with Pocco's (?) sister both times, predatory behavior.

Then part 3. His go to method of getting people to work for him is to immediately seduce. Like, understand the first introduction we see of Dio in part 3 is a tasteful nude of himself rubbing on a body that isn't his. Then of course we see how he approached Avdol, and then the fact that it's implied in cannon that he did something to Kakyoin. Like the flash backs we get of Dio from Kakyoin's perspective are very survivor of sa in flavor.

Then we see in part 6, the flashbacks we get of Dio and Pucci are inherently intimated in nature. Add onto that the fact that Pucci was a teen in all of those flashback and we see very clearly that Dio Brando is a sexual predator. Not to mention his scenes in crazy diamonds demonic heartbreak.

Hey all. This is random but Well I've found myself in a big pickle. To put it shortly, I signed the lease on an apartment, and some things came up and I won't be able to live in the apartment! And since I've signed it, the only way to get out of it is to find someone else to occupy it / "sublet".

The "apartment" is actually a town-home with 5 bedrooms, the rent is $685/ month including all utilities except electric. It is in Duluth Minnesota (especially for college students but not exclusively.) The unit is all-female. It has nice amenities like a pool and common areas and bus stop. I have not yet begun the term (8/15/26-6/14/27).

I agreed to live in this apartment when 1. I was under the impression that my college tuition was a reasonable cost and 2. I did not have anywhere else to go. Well now I have the actual bill and unless I wish to take on student loan debt (which I definitely don't want to do) myself and my family cannot afford rent and tuition. I could say the school was being slimy by not being transparent but the only one to blame for this is myself.

To complicate things further, in order for my mom to get out of an abusive relationship the only way for her to get a place of her own is if there is somebody else residing with her, which would by necessity have to be me. She was made this offer after I signed my own lease. Now her options are to continue being abused or for me to come live with her.
