Let’s talk about the badass that is Pepper Stark.

She went into a massive battle head first with no experience, for her husband. The love of her life, who she knew she would inevitably lose.

But I also want to talk about that scene, where Peter goes flying through the air, and Pepper comes in like “don’t worry, I’ve got you kid” that isn’t just Pepper saving someone’s ass. That’s Pepper saving her son’s ass. The relationship Peter and Tony built up over them three years between homecoming and infinity war, they would have been three years where Peter also builds a relationship with Pepper. You know damn well that kid would mean just as much to her as he did to Tony. They even both use the same nickname. And then you saw how gentle she was with him as he cried over Tony. She let him be the one with Tony first, she let him be there for him. Then the fact that May was at Tony’s funeral, I think that shows that there was also a development of relationship between them, the three parental figures in peters life. Whilst May is 100% Peter’s mother figure in life, Pepper was just as much a loving parent figure to Peter in that time. Just as Tony was a dad figure to him.
