All of my queer/gender neutral/pride related fics and content!!!
This post will act as a masterlist to find any & all queer content I have written. It will mostly be lesbian/gender neutral, but everything will be labeled!
Warnings: None, just good old fluff/angst between two gay women
This is a prompt that I have been wanting to write for myself for a while now, given as I love Tara and I am a partially-closeted bi-sexual girl, so I feel like we can all appreciate this sort of prompt :)

You had a huge secret that you have managed to hide from the group, for the most part. Before the world went to shit, you were just another woman in the closet, confused and scared. When it all ended, you figured that your problems with having to hide your sexuality would end as well, but that was not the case. You had to lie from time to time, such as when you would have late night talks with Maggie or Beth, asking if you liked anyone in the group or about previous lovers.
When you met Tara, you knew you were in trouble. You found her very attractive right away, and she was pretty openly gay, so you feared that she would figure you out and expose your secret. Itâs not like you didnât want everyone to know - you just wanted it to be on your own terms, when you were ready.
So when you guys got to know each other while out on the road after Terminus, you did your best to seem uninterested in any way other than a friend, and you thought that she was buying it. But once your group settled into Alexandria, you found it harder and harder to keep your feelings for her hidden.
One night you caught her sitting outside. You had come out for fresh air, only to be greeted by her sitting on the porch as well, glancing over her shoulder and smiling at you as you stepped out into the cool night. Your heart dropped at that smile. Sheâs so friendly, and caring, and beautiful. You couldnât think of a single thing wrong with her. âWant some company?â You ask, standing beside her, waiting for her okay to sit. She nods, patting the stair for you to sit, so you do. You are wearing a sweater over your night clothes, since it isnât a particularly warm night. But even with your sweater, you could tell you were going to be cold after a few minutes out here. You didnât care though, you wanted to be alone with her.
She is wrapped in a blanket, looking cozy and adorable, so inviting. You snap out of your thoughts, realizing youâre probably staring, and turn your eyes to the dark empty streets, wondering how you ended up here.

Chapter Ten - Intoxication
After the last two weeks, you were completely emotionally drained. The night when âAlaricâ essentially killed Klaus was enough to exhaust you for a few days. You compelled a doctorâs note for school saying that you had pneumonia, but you really just needed a few days to process. Between fearing your own demise, discovering that Rebekah killed Elena and she became a vampire, and spending a short while thinking that Klaus was dead⌠you were spent.
The moment at your house that the two of you shared not long before Klaus was staked by Alaric and saved by one of his undisclosed witches was replaying in your mind every night. He nearly kissed you, and you wanted him to. And then he basically died â and that crushed you.
You really shouldnât like him as much as you do. Youâve only known him a few months, and heâs not exactly a âgoodâ guy. But heâs only ever been kind to you. What made you so different?
Heâs shown patience with the Salvatoreâs on your behalf, and Elena too. Heâs made an effort to get to know you⌠Klaus made it impossible not to fall for him.
And why was he so damn attractive? It wasnât even that he was hot â although it definitely was a part of it â he was alluring. You felt drawn to him every time you were in the same room. You wanted to get to know him, to be around him, to be near him. He made it hard to think about anything else whenever he was near you. Stefan wasnât kidding when he always said that vampirism heightens your emotions.
The mayor instilling a curfew was a ridiculous and ineffective way of Carol Lockwood attempting to reduce the danger in Mystic Falls as of lately. With the increase in killings due to vampires, werewolves, witches, hunters and hybrids⌠you couldnât really blame her. But her ineffective human âauthorityâ would do nothing to stop the supernatural in town. Especially when Connor was weaseling his way through the town and council.
In order to retaliate, Rebekah â being the rebel she is â decided to throw an âanti-curfew party.â âMorning everyone!â Rebekah came into history with a stack full of flyers, beginning to hand them out. She shoots you a smile and you donât miss the way Elena glared at both of you. âSo Iâm throwing a little anti-curfew party at my new house. Starts in the fifth period, goes til whenever. Spread the word,â she hands you a flyer when she gets over to you and you chuckle under your breath, completely unsurprised but also impressed by Rebekah. Turns out you guys had a lot in common. âYouâre welcome to join too, Elena, if youâd like to bury the hatchet.â
You canât tell if she is being serious or taunting Elena, but either way, youâd be very surprised if she did go. You already made up your mind that you would not be missing this party, youâd even help Rebekah set it up.
âItâs a pretty enormous hatchet,â is all Elena says, glaring up at your sorta-friend. You roll your eyes and tuck the flyer into your bag, beginning to pack up your things. It was a waste of time to stay at school, youâd leave with Rebekah.
âWell Iâm feeling generous with spirit,â Rebekah replies snarkily.
âNew house, huh? Did your brother finally kick you out?â Elena glowers at Rebekah. Just like that, your mind is back on Klaus. Was it really that easy for you to get completely lost in thought over this man?Â
âHe didnât kick me out. I left.â
âSo you left the only person on Earth that actually likes you?â Wow, Elena really could be bitchy.
Rebekah only smirks, unphased by her. âWell, Charlotte likes me. And your boyfriend liked me once. Actually, a lot more than once.â The bell goes off as the sub walks in, and you decide that youâve had enough, so you stand up with your things and wait for Rebekah at the door. âSpread the word!â she smiles as she saunters out of the door with you close behind.
âIâll help you set up,â you smile as you follow behind her, and she returns the smile, giving you half the stack of flyers.
âPerfect,â she grins. âThe address is on the flyer. Iâll be heading over after I finish handing these out.â
You helped her finish handing out the flyers, then drove you both over to her new âhouseâ (mansion). You girls spent the next few hours set up, decorating and arranging. She compelled a few people to buy liquor from across town, and some others to help set up. Everything was going great. As you were hanging the lights on the long, elegant railing, you felt your phone buzz in your pocket.
I hear you are making your little friends angry, love.
You canât help the silly smile that spreads across your face as you read Klausâs text. Though youâre unsure what heâs talking about, you are just happy to get a text from him.
âWhyâre you smiling like a schoolgirl, huh?â Rebekah teases you from down below where she is finishing setting up some snacks. âMy brother?â
âHowâd you knowâŚâ you trail off with a shy grin.
Oh am I? Whatâd you hear?
âEw, you guys need to just get together already,â Rebekah pours herself a glass of champagne and you blush at the idea of âgetting togetherâ with Klaus.
Apparently Elena isnât too happy about your friendship with my sister.
You laugh aloud and walk down the stairs to show Rebekah the text. She scoffs proudly after reading the message. âGood. I hope she is angry.â You laugh and lean against the table to respond.
Sucks for her.
âYa know, you didnât have to kill herâŚâ you raise your brows at Rebekah, giving her a look.
âYes well, two birds one stone,â she shrugs with a smirk.
âYou sure are your brotherâs sister,â you roll your eyes playfully, and she laughs. âWould I be the worst if I asked Klaus to come tonight?â you ask Rebekah with puppy eyes. She makes a grossed out face and finishes off her champagne.
âI suppose not. Though he can be quite the buzzkill,â she responds. You smile and start typing out another text.
Are you busy tonight?
You are incredibly anxious for his response. This is the first time you will have initiated seeing him. Could it be a date? Is he the type to go on a date? âDonât be surprised if heâs too busy tormenting someone to show,â Rebekah teases, although you know she is half serious.
For you? Not at all.
Your heart rate picks up as adrenaline floods your body. Such a flirt. This man has too much of a hold on you.
Want to come to Rebekahâs party?
You anxiously stare at your phone as you await his response. He responds within a minute, but those 60 seconds felt like an eternity.
Not quite how I pictured my evening, however, I cannot pass up an opportunity to see you.
Was that a yes? You chewed on your nail as you thought of how to respond.
I will see you tonight, Charlotte.
He texts back before you can respond. You blush and grin from ear to ear, excited to see him.
Canât wait.
People started arriving around 1, but the party started really going around 3. Youâd been drinking since people started arriving, as it took a lot of liquor for a vampire to get drunk â not that you were actively trying to be, but you were trying to calm your nerves before Klaus arrived. You werenât monitoring yourself very well, because you started getting tipsy before heâd gotten there.
You knew that you were not very sober because when one of your favorite party songs came on, you started dancing like no one was in the room â when in fact the house was pretty packed.
You jumped and danced with some girl you shared a class with who was having just as much fun as you. Laughing as you jumped to the beat, your hair bouncing around in your face and the liquor in your stomach tossing and turning. Rebekah joined in and the three of you were having a blast, completely lost in the music.
The next song to come on was a more seductive song and the girl â Andy? â caught you by surprise when she turned around and started grinding on you. You laughed aloud and grabbed her hips, joining in the dirty dancing, moving your hips in sync. Rebekah mimicked and you were sandwiched between the girls, enjoying the song. It probably looked pretty hot, but you were having too much fun to think about anything else.Â
Having lost track of time, you hadnât realized that Klaus had arrived and was watching you from a distance until the song was nearly over. You made eye contact as you caught your breath and grinned widely at him. He was wearing a dark red button down shirt with the first two undone, and a black jacket and pants with it.
As you were looking at him leaning on the wall across the room, looking right back at you, a new song had already started and some guy came up behind you, grabbing onto your waist. His hand pulled you into his body and he started swaying and grinding on you to the beat of the song. Normally, this wouldnât have bothered you, but you were trying to go over to see Klaus. The guyâs hand dropped from your waist to your hips and he tried making you move with him, but you were uninterested. As you looked over to where Klaus had been, you saw that he was no longer there. Did he leave? Was he mad? Where did he go?
The guy spun you around and put both hands on your hips, pulling you against him and trying to have you dirty-dance against his leg. You continued looking around for Klaus, not really moving with the random dude. The guy spun you back around to grind on you again, and you came face to face with Klaus.
He stood a few feet in front of you, a very displeased expression on his face. His eyes were looking over your shoulder, presumably at the annoying guy dancing on you. âDude back off,â the guy slurs as he notices Klaus.
âLeave. Now.â Klaus growls in a low tone, compelling the teenager. He lets go of you and walks off without another word, leaving you there with Klaus as the song continues in the background. You grinned up at him and in your slightly drunk state, took a chance. You closed the space between the two of you, your chest almost against his, looking up into his eyes. His expression was no longer sour. He looked pleasantly taken aback.
âDance with me,â is all you say, turning around and beginning to sway to the beat against him. At first, he doesnât react, but you hear him chuckle behind you. Your heart is pounding in your chest so loud that you know he can hear it, but you try to feign confidence. âCâmon!â you shout over your shoulder playfully. He surprises you when he places his hands on your hips, making you gasp and nearly trip.
Klaus leans his face into the left side of your neck as you dance against him, somewhat swaying along behind you but mostly letting you take the lead. Your body feels on fire wherever you feel him touching you, and you didnât realize that something so simple could turn you on so much. Impure thoughts began crossing your mind as you leaned your head back into his chest, focusing on the feeling of his arms wrapped around you. He made you feel small and weak in the best way. Being a vampire and a strong-headed woman made you feel like you were more dominant than every other guy around â but something about Klaus made you feel submissive. He was strong, dangerous, older, powerful.Â
You decide to test your luck and take it a step further, reaching your hands up behind you and grabbing onto his neck, moving your hips back against him. His lips graze the sensitive skin on your neck, his warm breath in the crook of your neck, sending shivers down your body. You feel him graze his fangs against the skin and his arms move around you, basically hugging you against him, emitting a pleasurable whimper from you.
Everything about this moment was intoxicating, making adrenaline surge through your body. You can feel his lips grinning against your neck as he places a soft kiss in the same spot where he grazed his fangs. You push your body against his, needing more of him. A happy giggle escapes your lips and you bring your arms down and place your hands over top of his. They look small in comparison and his arms around your body as he leaned over you made you feel even smaller.
The song came to an end and you practically whimpered as he pulled away from you, leaving your body feeling bare without his warmth and presence on it. You turn around and look up at him, a blush radiating heat over your cheeks as you smile shyly up at him. Heâs grinning right back at you in a seductive way that you donât think you have seen yet.
Something feels like itâs changed between you. Obviously thereâs been tension following the two of you around every time youâve been together, and youâd nearly kissed a few times. But this was less innocent. Way less. Like youâd both finally admitted what's been going on all along without needing to say a word. The chemistry between you was crazy, youâve never felt like this in your life.
âCome with me,â Klaus offers his open hand to you, and you hastily accept it. Youâve only ever held his hand while dancing, so watching him lead you away from the crowd with your hand in his was a new feeling. You knew youâd follow this man anywhere heâd go. In the craziest way, you felt both terrified and never safer than when you were by his side.
Klaus opened the balcony door for you and let you walk out first, pulling the glass door closed behind himself. He released your hand and you felt yourself frown in your drunken state. Walking over to the railing, you leaned both of your arms on it and looked up at the sun setting in the sky. He stands a few paces behind you, his eyes burning through the back of your head.Â
âWell hello to you too, love,â he teases. You turn around and press your butt against the rail of the balcony, smiling at him shyly.
âSorry, had too much to drink,â you say, though youâre not sorry. Right on cue, a hiccup escapes your lips and he chuckles.
âDonât apologize on my account,â he shrugs, taking a step closer. âI rather enjoyed your confidence.â
You donât respond, just grin at him. You were starting to feel a little nauseous, but you tried to ignore the feeling.
âKind of surprised you agreed to come tonight. Doesnât seem like your scene.â
âA high school rager? Not particularly, but you invited me,â he grins.
âYouâre such a flirt,â you smile.
âAre you objecting?â he takes a large stride closer, reaching out to touch your hair with two fingers. You lean into his touch subconsciously. God, how does he have such a hold on you?
âNot at all,â you mumble.
His eyes soften a little as he looks down at you. âUgh, I donât feel so good,â you groan, suddenly feeling like you may hurl. You spot someone who just filled their solo cup from the keg walking by and quickly open the balcony door, compelling them and snatching it up. Taking a few sips of the drink as Klaus watched with confusion, you tried to subdue the weird feeling in your stomach. Instead, it began spreading to your head and you felt worse. âWhat theâŚâ you stumble and cough, realizing something is wrong. This isnât from alcohol, something was going on. Your vision is blurry and you feel like you have been drugged.
âWhat is it, Charlotte?â Klaus asks, catching you when you stumble forward.
âThe drinksâŚâ you mumble. Klaus takes you inside by the arm, looking for answers to figure out what happened. You both see Rebekah stumbling to her room across the hall.
âConnor,â she hiccups. âHybrid venom.â
Klausâs eyes fall dark and he realizes that the drinks have been poisoned with hybrid venom from the vampire hunter Connor. You try to focus on keeping your eyes open as he helps you into a chair. You look up at him with blurry vision, trying to make sense of what was happening. You were poisoned? Are you going to die? Nothing was making sense.
âHere, drink.â He has crouched down in front of you and pulled you closer, placing his wrist up to your mouth. You feel the veins in your eyes surge as the smell of his blood hits you. Taken aback from his willingness for you to feed on him, you hesitate a bit. Blood sharing is personal, intimate, sometimes sexual. The idea of drinking his blood was intimating, but alsoâŚenticing.
Without saying anything, your fangs pierce his warm skin and you drink from him. The blood dripping down your throat is intoxicating and you feel immediate relief â pulling him in closer, aggressively, a tight hold on his wrist as you get your fill. A growl rumbles through your chest as you grab onto his wrist with both hands, taking more. You feel his chest vibrate in a pleasurable groan as you drink from him. Klaus strokes your hair as you feed, beginning to recover.
You finally release your fangs from his wrist and let out a large sigh, feeling relief hit you. He raises his other hand and brushes your bottom lip with his thumb, slowly dragging it across your sensitive flesh, then popping it quickly into his mouth to clean the blood off of it. You groan lightly, feeling animalistic and turned on.
âNik!â Rebekah stumbles into the room, and Klaus stands up to heal his sister, dripping his blood into a glass for her to drink too. You sit there for a moment as he helps her, listening to the commotion downstairs â you could hear that Sheriff Liz had shown up to shut down the party, and Rebekah starts mumbling about how she was going to kill Connor.
Klaus lets out a loud sigh of disapproval and the three of you head back downstairs.
You offer to help Rebekah clean up but she says that she will do it tomorrow, so you make a mental note to come back and help in the morning.
Klaus walks you home in comfortable silence as you start sobering up. It wasnât a far walk at all and you almost wish that it took longer. As you walk up the stairs to your balcony, it feels like the end of a date. You still havenât kissed Klaus and it feels like every time you almost do, youâve been interrupted. You so badly wanted this man, but you also started to feel worried that you wanted different things.
You knew without a doubt that youâd grown to have feelings for him â serious ones. But did he feel the same? Part of you wondered if this was all the thrill of the chase or him wanting to hook up. He certainly didnât seem like the dating type. Would he want you to be his girlfriend? Would he be a faithful boyfriend? The questions raced through your head as you made your way to the door, before turning to face him. âThank you for walking me home,â you say quietly.
âNo need to thank me, love.â The mood is different from earlier in the evening â itâs more calm than intense.
âDo you want to come in?â you ask shyly. He smiles and opens his mouth, but pauses and takes a second longer to think about his response.
âI do, but I think I should let you sober up and get some rest,â he responds softly. You nod and try to hide your disappointment. Itâs silent for a moment, and you canât help but think about the last time you saw him before tonight â in a similar situation, right before he was nearly killed.
âYou knowâŚâ you start, feeling awkward, but also needing to get this off your chest. âI was⌠really upset, when you⌠well, died,â you stumble over your words, avoiding his gaze. âIâm glad youâre not dead,â you smile softly, finally looking up to meet his eye.
 His expression is hard to read, but he clearly appreciates that remark. He takes a step closer to you, leaning in slowly before kissing your cheek, slowly, softly, then takes a step back. âGet some sleep, Charlotte.â He starts walking down the stairs slowly, leaving you mind boggled by the door. You touch your cheek where he kissed you, a huge grin spreading across your flushed face. What just happened?

The day started off like most others. You were on watch this morning, having gotten up barely a couple of hours after Daryl came to bed. Your shift began at dawn, relieving the night crew. You remembered that Daryl was supposed to go out to the bridge today to help with construction, and to keep an eye on everyone in Rickâs absence. He had to go down to the Sanctuary today, so Daryl was covering for him overseeing the bridge.
You hated when he went to the Sanctuary, given all the horror that happened to him there, so you were glad that Rick was going today. However, the bridge construction wasn't a whole lot better. He'd still be surrounded by numerous former saviors, something you found very unsettling. So you typically tagged along, for your own peace of mind, to watch his back.
You left an apple on the bedside table and wrote a quick note beside it telling Daryl that you were on watch and that youâd see him in the afternoon. You hated not being able to see him much anymore - especially waking up together - but you each had a lot of responsibilities to manage.
Standing in the dim light, you lean over the bed to brush the hair out of Darylâs face. You keep meaning to give him a little hair cut, just so that he could see better, but whenever you were able to see him it would completely slip your mind - too concerned with soaking up as much time with him as possible.
Your fingers brushed against his stubbly cheek ever so lightly, appreciating how peaceful he looked sleeping. He stirs a little, so you quickly try to retract your hand before you accidentally wake him up, but itâs too late - he catches your hand and places it back on his cheek. âMmm?â He groans, one eye peeking open as his other hand comes up to snatch your free wrist, placing a tired openmouthed kiss on it.
âSorry,â you whisper with a soft smile, rubbing your thumb over the back of his warm, rough hand.
âWhereâre ya goinâ?â Daryl questions, his deep voice so raspy that anyone else may have a hard time understanding what he said. You loved his sleepy voice, you found it adorable, sexy.
âI have first watch. Relieving the night shift," you remind him, leaning down so that you are squatting beside him at the bed. He rolls over onto his side, his hand still enveloping yours, and opens his other eye to get a good look at you.
âMâkay,â he mumbles. âBe careful,â Daryl says, his piercing blue eyes meeting your own. A shy smile crawls up your face and you nod in the darkness, moving closer and placing a kiss on his stubble covered cheek.
âIâll see you at the bridge, hun,â you promise, moving to stand up, but he doesnât release your hand, keeping you down at his level. He sleepily lifts his head and brings his other hand up to the back of your head. You instinctively meet him halfway, capturing his soft lips in a slow kiss.
His body heat radiates onto you, warming you up in a way only Daryl can. You pull away slowly, a frustrated whimper escaping your mouth as you lean your forehead on his. You miss him so much, you want to lay here beside him forever - but the sunlight beginning to creep through the window reminds you that duty calls.
You loved how Daryl would let his guard down and be more open when he was tired like this. He could be very affectionate in the mornings and nights, which was one of the only times that you go to see him anymore. You stand up from your spot and head out of the room, but not without one last glance at the love of your life.
~
Darylâs morning was not off to a great start. He was exhausted from the night before, grumpy because he didnât get to spend any time with you, and it was a cloudy and cold day. Everyone was getting on his nerves and he was practically counting down the minutes until he would be able to go back to Alexandria.
You hadn't arrived yet, and he was antsy about you being on the road without him. He knew you were with Carol and some of the others, coming to relieve some of the people working on the bridge, but he hated being apart from you inside of the walls, let alone outside of their safety.
One person in particular was seriously testing Darylâs patience today - a savior, Justin. He had been giving everyone attitude from the moment they began working, and Daryl has just about had it.
Daryl was in the process of nailing down a board as Aaron talked to him about Gracie, just as he spotted you. He felt a weight literally lift off of his shoulders as you appeared in his vision. You hadn't spotted him yet, and he momentarily got distracted just watching you.
"-And the diaper just explodes, all over me." Aaron finishes his story.
"Good times," Daryl responds, taking a nail out of his mouth and getting back to hammering.
"You'll see," Aaron remarks.
Daryl shoots him a weird look, before glancing back to where you stood a handful of yards away, pulling your hair up into a ponytail and helping to lift a large board. You were wearing black khakis and a dark tank top, looking absolutely amazing in such a simple outfit. The thought of having a baby with you briefly crossed Daryl's mind, but he shut down the idea almost as quickly as it popped into his head.
"What? You'd be a great dad. Especially with Y/N..." Aaron trails off, teasing the archer.
"Yeah," he retorts sarcastically, dipping his head behind his hair and returning to hammering so that Aaron couldn't see the heat rising to his cheeks.
Aaron dropped it and they got back to focusing, which lasted all of a couple minutes until Daryl heard something stand out to him. Your name. In Justinâs mouth.
Daryl knew that Justin had tried hitting on you once before when you came to the bridge to help out, and he had given him a stern warning to stay away from you. Normally Daryl would have trusted you to handle the guy yourself, but seeing as he was a savior, and he was being very pushy toward you, Daryl had stepped in.
He stands up from where he was crouched, brushing the dirt off of his gloves and wiping the sweat off his forehead with the back of his hand, listening in on the conversation Justin was having with some other savior.
âSheâs a hot piece of ass. The things Iâd do to her if that redneck asshole would let her out of his sight, I swear.â Justin remarks as he hammers at a nail unsuccessfully. The man beside him just scoffs.
âSheâd never go for you, man," he responds.
âSure she would. Just gotta get her alone.â Justin continues, a gross smirk on his face.
By this point, Aaron had taken notice and knew that shit was about to go down. The look on Darylâs face was enough to warn the younger man that he needed to intervene, now.
"Hey! Back t' work! Stop chattin so damn much!" he growls as he shoves his way past Justin, abandoning Aaron to approach you.
You heard Daryl shout and immediately got distracted, almost wacking someone in the head with the board you were helping to carry. As soon as you and Rosita place it down, you search for Daryl, only to find him heading right over to you.
"Hey, you okay?" you ask, wiping your forehead with the back of your hand.
"Yeah, that prick over there pissin me off again," he grumbles, wiping some dirt off of your shirt for you. You smile softly, appreciating the gesture.
"Don't let him bother you, babe," you start. "Your only giving him the attention he wants."
Daryl grumbles in response. "Hi Y/N, hi Daryl," Henry greets you guys as he approaches with the large jug of water. "Need a drink?" he asks. Daryl motions to you and you open your mouth to fight him, but he shoots you a look, so you accept and take a very small cup of water from the boy.
"Thank you, Henry." You hand the cup to Daryl and give him the same look. He knows better than to argue with you and he was very thirsty anyway, so he pours himself a small cup too.
Henry then moves on and you let Daryl head off to grab another large plank with Gabriel. All is well for approximately three minutes, until...
You hear commotion and turn around to see that Justin has shoved Henry onto the ground and is now downing a bunch of water straight from the jug directly into his mouth. You immediately abandon your work and make your way toward Henry, but before you can get to the prick to handle business yourself, Henry has stood back up and knocks him clean off his feet with his staff.
You finally reached the two and just as the asshole is scrambling back onto his feet and some other former saviors are laughing at him, you place yourself between the man and the child.
"You better fucking not," you warn as he looks over your shoulder toward the boy who was hurrying to gather the water jug and get back to work.
"You see that shit?" Justin shouts, shuffling his body like he wants to go after Henry.
"Yeah I saw you bullying a child and him stand up for himself, just like he should," you retort.
Justin's eyes squint at you in shock and disbelief.
"Whatever! I let him do that. Better not get a big damn ego now!" he shouts dramatically.
"Yeah okay why don't ya get back to work," you roll your eyes and turn to walk away.
"Hey, hold up now. I finally gotcha away from the redneck," he grabs your shoulder and positions himself in your way.
"'scuse me?" you all but growl.
"Oh come on now, you know how long it's been since I seen a pretty face like yours?" he attempts to flirt with a gross smirk. "Take it as a compliment, sweetheart. Like you don't walk around in those tight little pants hoping every guy here is looking at you," he continues, and you move to walk away from him, but he follows you.
"I mean why else would you be here anyway? Not like a woman can be much help buildin a bridge," he blabbers on. You spot Daryl and instantly start walking toward him. The dumbass hasn't spotted Daryl and continues trailing you. "Hey, hold up! You think you're too good for me bitch?!" he grabs onto your shoulder, and before he has the chance to do anything else, Daryl literally tackles him to the ground like a football player, knocking the wind out of him and banging his skull against the ground.
Daryl gets two good swings in before you grab his shoulder to pull him off. He resists until you call out his name, wrapping your hand tightly around his raised fist. "Daryl!" you shout again, and he finally takes pause. Justin lies limp on the ground underneath Daryl. He grabs him harshly by the collar before saying: "Ya come near her again.. I'll beat yer ass into the ground," Daryl growls viciously before slamming him down as Rick shows up and gets an arm around him before he is able to decides to continue beating the prick to death.
He tries to scramble up as fast as he can as Rick and Aaron struggle to keep between him and Daryl. "Hey! Ya hear that shit! Huh?" Justin shouts and points over Rick's shoulder, trying to rile Daryl up some more.
"Enough!" Rick shouts, but Daryl doesn't stop pacing and stalking back and forth as he glares. Justin stupidly starts talking smack again.
"Unbelievable! Tried to kill me over nothin!" Justin tries to get people on his side. "Fuckin redneck asshole!" he shouts around Rick's shoulder. Before he can get any other insults out at Daryl, you reach up and punch him in the nose. Your hand immediately aches and you grab it instinctually, cursing out in pain. In your distraction, Justin grabs a hold of your shirt and suddenly you are in the middle of no less than four grown men pulling at you. Justin holds onto your shirt for dear life, as if keeping a grip on you will somehow prevent him from getting his ass kicked anymore.
Daryl is literally jumping over Rick to get to you as Rick tries to peel Justin off of you while keeping himself positioned between the two men, and Aaron tries to help hold Daryl back. By now a huge crowd has formed and everyone is egging each other on. "Enough!" Rick shouts again as he finally releases you from Justin's grip. "I said enough!" He hollers viciously as Daryl continues shoving his way through the men.
"Daryl!" you shout, finally halting him. He takes pause and notices your stretched out shirt hanging down low on your chest. He grabs your wrist, glancing at your knuckles and then peels his vest off of his back and swiftly pulls it over your shoulders, buttoning it in the front for you to cover you up a little better.
"Everyone get back to work! Now!" Rick hollers, guiding you and Daryl away from the crowd. "What the hell was that?!" he growls under his breath once you guys are far enough away.
"That asshole had it coming! This was neva gonna work Rick! Ya hear the shit he was sayin? He put his fuckin hands on 'er!" Daryl begins shouting again.
"Hey, hey!" Rick puts his hand up and you take Daryl's bicep. "You trying to kill the guy in front of everyone solves nothing, Daryl. You just stirred everything up!" He scolds.
"I'on care! He had it comin!" Daryl huffs.
"And you," Rick turns to you. "Not any better. Are you guys trying to make sure this doesn't work?" he scolds you guys like children.
"Hey," Daryl glares at Rick, pointing at him. "Leave 'er outta it. That prick should die for touchin 'er." Daryl warns Rick, who raises a brow at his friend. Rick puts his left hand up and his right on his hip, tilting his head and huffing.
"Daryl," he starts, trying to deescalate. "Alright, why don't you two go work on the logs, huh? Go cool off..." Rick sighs like a disappointed parent. Daryl wastes no time in grabbing your arm and quickly but gently leading you away to grab your stuff and head off to work on the logs.
Once you're out of earshot, outside of the cabin, Daryl stops and turns to face you. "Ya okay?" he asks, looking you up and down. You chuckle at his worry.
"I'm fine. Just stretched out my shirt," you respond, glancing down at your chest, which is covered by Daryl's vest.
"I'll getcha some new shirts. Go on a run tomorrow," Daryl mutters, grabbing your hand and inspecting your knuckles. "Shouldn't have hit him, don't want ya gettin' hurt," he continues, rubbing your knuckles with his calloused thumb.
"Asshole had it coming," you respond with a shrug. Daryl chuckles lightly and grins proudly.
"That's m' girl," he touches your chin. "Ya should head back for the day."
"Hell no. I just got here. I'm not leaving 'cuz of him," you state firmly. Daryl looks at you for a long moment, nibbling on his bottom lip before nodding in agreement.
"A'right, but stay with me," he starts leading the way toward the area of the woods where they are taking down trees for the bridge.
~
The rest of the day is pretty uneventful. You and Daryl spent a few hours helping with the logs, loading them up onto the trucks and whatnot. By the time the sun had gone down, your whole body was on fire. You'd definitely be feeling it in the morning.
You hadn't seen Justin since the incident in the afternoon, and you kept near Daryl for the most part, like he asked. The two of you were heading back through the woods, past the cabin and campsite, right when he happened to come out. Rick and Carol were right there talking to one another, and Rick made stern eye contact with Daryl from where he stood a few yards away. Daryl stood on your left as you continued to walk, his body shielding you from Justin.
The two men made intense eye contact as they passed one another, but neither spoke. Just when you thought you were in the clear... You hear: "Better keep your dog on a tighter leash!" Both you and Daryl whip around and spot Justin shouting at Rick as he is slowly walking away. "Damn near killed me for nothin," he continues stupidly.
You grab onto Daryl's bicep and Rick is instantly approaching Justin, his glare on Daryl, anticipating another fight - which seems to be exactly what the savior wants.
"Daryl don't," you try to stop him but he shrugs out of your grasp and strides over.
"Daryl," Rick warns, and Justin puffs his chest, anticipating his attack. Instead, Daryl stops two yards away from where Rick was standing near Justin.
"Listen up. Real good." Daryl points a finger at Justin. "Ya come near her again. Touch her. Talk to her. Hell. Ya look at her sideways," Daryl continues in a calm but dangerous tone. "Stitches won't fix what I do t' ya." It's not a threat, it's a promise. You cautiously take Daryl's bicep again, tugging him lightly to get him to back off, and when neither Justin nor Rick say anything, Daryl allows you to guide him away.
"I love you," you mutter up at Daryl once you are plenty out of earshot, taking his hand and interlocking your fingers as he leads the way toward the awaiting horses and other members of Alexandria to head home for the night. He squeezes your hand and smiles softly in return, silently saying it back.

Chapter Nine - What Lies Ahead
âMatt!â you shouted, trying to find your best friend. You called out his name once more, looking behind trees and bushes, under cars and all around the house. A hand suddenly reaches out and grabs you by the ankle, causing you to scream as you fall to the ground and land right in a puddle.
âUgh! You suck!â you shout at Matt who is climbing out from between two large bushes underneath his window.
âWould you guys keep it down?!â Vicki shouts from the porch where she is on the landline, talking to some guy. You both roll your eyes at his sister and giggle to yourselves, having the time of your lives playing your version of hide and seek mixed with tag.
~
When you woke up, your chest felt heavy. The room was still dark, and the atmosphere was thick. Something was wrong.
The clock read 1:23am in bright red numbers coming from the old alarm clock on your nightstand that youâve had your whole life. Turning over onto your side, the pressure in your chest didnât subside. Something definitely happened. Alaric was out there⌠Had he killed someone? One of your friends? An Original?
There was banging at the door suddenly that made you jump out of your skin. Shooting up from a laying position, you feared it was Alaric himself. There was another frantic bang, and this time you used your vampire hearing to listen in to who was at your door. You heard sobs â male â and recognized them immediately. Jumping out of bed, you rushed out of your room to the front door, turning on lights as you went, not bothering to throw on a robe, and threw open the door for Matt.
âWhat happened?!â you exclaim, pulling him inside by his bicep and slamming the door closed. He is trying to hold his sobs in â his eyes swollen and a little blood dripping from his forehead. âMatt?â you ask, grabbing him by both arms now, trying to get an answer out of him.
âShe â I â I couldnât turn in time. She ââ he rambles, not making any sense. You pull your friend into your arms, anxiety bubbling up inside of you as you think of all the possible things that could have happened. Matt was usually pretty strong, put together, at least attempted to hide his emotions. For him to come over to your house in the middle of the night like thisâŚ
You hug him tightly, letting him catch his breath in your arms.
After a moment, he steadies himself, and you pull back to look at him.
âWhat happened?â you ask as calmly as you can.
âI was driving Elena back to say goodbye to Stefan and the othersââ he starts before you interrupt him.
âSay goodbye? Why? What?â you ramble, thoroughly confused.
âCharlotte⌠Alaric killed Klaus.â
Those three words send you into panic. Heâs dead? Klaus? The man who sired the bloodline to most of your friends and potentially yourself? The man you definitely werenât supposed to have feelings for⌠But absolutely did.
âHeâs dead?!â you finally shout.
âWell⌠Thatâs what Damon said⌠But Charlotte, this was like three hours ago⌠So I donât know.â
You rub your temples, mind and heart racing. âBut I was driving her back, and I swerved on Wickery Bridge to avoid hitting Rebekahââ he starts again, and you go to interrupt him, but he stops you. âI swerved off it into the water. Elena made Stefan save meâŚâ he trails off as he starts to sob again.
âIâm so confusedâŚâ you mutter, trying to piece it together.
âSheâs dead,â he finally chokes out. Who? Rebekah? Elena? ElenaâŚ
âSheâs⌠dead?â you repeat. âElena,â itâs less of a question and more of realization.
So Elena and Klaus are dead⌠And the others will be Should be?
Matt takes a deep breath and walks over to your old couch, sitting down shakily.
âNo,â he continues. âI mean, yes. But she still had Damonâs blood in her systemâŚâ
Realization washes over you now.
âMatt⌠Thatâs good. Sheâs not dead then,â you softly explain to him.
âBut sheâs a vampire now!â he shouts angrily.
You wince, remembering how much he hates vampires. You know he doesnât hate you, but he definitely wishes you werenât one.
âI killed one of my oldest friends and now sheâs going to be a vampire⌠Because of me.â
You were trying â hard â to be supportive, but it was proving challenging. You kept thinking about Klaus, whether he was actually dead or not. You didnât care much about the fact that Elena would be a vampire, she kind of deserved it anywayâŚ
âThereâs moreâŚâ he continues after a moment. âAlaric is dead. Esther linked him to Elena,â he sighs.
While you werenât close with your history teacher/sorta friend, it was sad. And that meant that tonight Jeremy lost another parental figure, and his sister turned into what he also hated mostâŚ
Tears finally started slipping out as you sat down beside Matt, leaning your head onto his shoulder. He leaned back into the couch and put his arm over your shoulders, and the two of you silently cried together, like you had so many times as childrenâŚ
He explained everything else that happened once you both calmed down, and you came to the realization that not a single one of them â besides Damon â called or texted you to let you know what happened or that you could potentially be dying. Damon shot you a text not long before Matt showed up, but you didnât see it until he dozed off from exhaustion on your couch. Stefan eventually texted you around 3am asking if you were okay, and that was it. Nobody else seemed to care or even remember you.
Matt spent the rest of the night there on your couch, and you slept on the loveseat across from him. You both slept in late, not wanting to get up and face the new day. It was nearly noon by the time you guys finally sat up and answered the endless texts that youâd be getting from everyone â who were very much still alive.
You had a sliver of hope that Klaus was still alive, given that when Finn died, his entire sire line died within an hour or so of him. But if Damon saw Alaric stake him â Rebekah saw it too â then why were you all still alive?
You decided to go with Matt to check on Elena. You werenât exactly concerned for her and you were honestly pretty annoyed with everyone else, but you had a feeling that the Salvatoreâs would be less than welcoming to your very human best friend. To say that you were annoyed was an understatement, actually. Whenever they needed help, or something bad was going on with Elena, they involved you. Even when you made it clear that you wanted to stay out of the drama, they always found a way to drag you in. But when you very well could have died, and all of them, they completely forgot about you? You had half a mind to punch Stefan and Damon when you saw them.
Matt drove you both over to his house so he could get changed into some clothes that didnât smell like creek water and blood, and you waited patiently on his porch. Sitting there with your elbows on your knees and head in your palms, your mind drifted to Klaus. What if he really was dead? The thought of never seeing him again stung. Obviously it wasnât logical or safe to be having a crush on the dangerous hybrid, but it was too late for reason. You already knew you had fallen for him, and no logic or reasoning could stop how you felt.Â
âYou ready?â Matt interrupts your thoughts as he steps out and locks the door.
The ride to Elenaâs house is short and silent. You were anxious, and Mattâs anxiety was only adding to yours. Stefan probably wouldnât hurt Matt, but there was no telling with Damon. Not long after you parked in front of Elenaâs house, Stefan stepped outside, watching you both get out of the car.
âI see youâre still alive,â you all but growl at him as you both start up the walkway. It is clear how exhausted he is from his expression, but you couldnât give a damn. All anyone in this group seemed to care about was Elena â sometimes even more than their own self-preservation â itâs crazy to you.
He gives you a look, opening his mouth like heâs going to say something, but you ignore him and walk around toward the door. When you enter, you see Elena sitting in the kitchen with Damon. She looks over at you, then her eyes land on Matt and she jumps up. âMatt,â she sighs, seemingly in relief, and pulls him into a hug. You look over their shoulders at Damon, who is glaring at Matt.Â
âAre you okay?â he asks hesitantly when they separate, looking her up and down. She nods, but anyone with a working pair of eyes can see sheâs not.
âBonnieâs going to see if thereâs anything she can doâŚâ Elena says, and it takes all of you not to scoff. Of course theyâre trying to find some magic work-around to save her from being a vampire. No one ever did that for you, or Caroline, or anybody else.
âAlright⌠Iâm outta here,â Damon suddenly starts heading for the door, shoving past Matt. âGonna pay a visit to a certain blond vampire.â
Stefan heads out the door after him, leaving the three of you alone. You cross your arms and the tension grows thicker. Matt is between both of you, as per usual.
âMatt⌠Iâm not mad at you,â she finally says. You roll your eyes and move away to look out the window, watching Stefan and Damon bickering in the walkway. She shouldnât be, Matt didnât do anything wrong. He was trying to help her, and nearly got himself killed too. He wouldâve been dead if Stefan hadnât listened to martyr Elena.
âHey look, Iâm gonna go, okay Matt?â you speak up, suddenly not interested in pretending you care any longer. Matt almost died, Elena is having a pity party, Alaric is dead and⌠Klaus is dead.
âWhat? You sure?â he asks, and you nod, giving him a quick hug and Elena a tight-lipped fake smile. âGlad youâre not dead.â
Then you head outside, ignoring the Salvatore brothers and vamp back to your house.
~
The rest of the day was a haze. You went home for a bit, drank up the last of your whiskey and a blood bag, then decided you wanted something fresh. So you went out to the Mystic Grill, found a guy drinking at the bar, compelled him to follow you to the bathroom and all but drained the poor guy before healing him. Then after pathetically crying on the bathroom floor, you wiped his memory and went home to go to bed.
It was barely eight oâclock by the time you were freshly bathed, somewhat tipsy and laying in your nightgown in bed. An unknown number called you once, but you ignored it, not in any mood to speak to literally anyone on this planet. You wondered if maybe it was important, but you couldnât bring yourself enough to care.
After the third attempt though, you finally gritted your teeth and answered.
âWhat?!â you shout into the phone, preparing to scream at whoever was bothering you.
âHello, love.â You heart drops in your chest and you suddenly forgot how to breathe. Was thisâŚ?
âWho is this?â you say softly, your attitude having shifted a full 180 degrees.
âOuch. You donât recognize me?â he teases on the other side.
âKlaus⌠Youâre alive?! How?â you exclaim, in shock, anger, excitementâŚ
âItâs a long story, love. Had a witch working some magic for me,â he starts, sounding rather pleased with himself. âLook, I was just calling to make sure that you were okayâŚâ he trails off.
He was worried about you?
âYeah⌠I am⌠Iâm glad that you areâŚâ you mutter the last part.
âI look forward to seeing you again soon, Charlotte,â you can practically hear the smirk through the phone. âListen, donât tell anyone about this, okay? Iâm laying low a bit longer, got some business to sort out⌠And then I will come and see you,â he all but promises. His voice is serious, like he feels he owes you this.
âOkayâŚâ you start, unsure what else to say, but your heart is thudding in your chest.
âI will explain everything soon, Charlotte,â he says slightly more softly. Your heart flutters every time he says your name. âGoodnight.â
âGoodnight, KlausâŚâÂ

Chapter Eight - Kill, Or Be Killed
The next day was nothing short of chaos. Elena and Caroline were captured by the new invincible vampire hunter version of Alaric at the high school, so you met with the Salvatore's and the others at Elenaâs house. You were talking with Stefan and Jeremy in the kitchen when a soccer ball went flying into the kitchen after busting open the front door. âWhat theââ A piece of a fence flies in next and you grab Jeremyâs arm, vamping him to crouch behind the kitchen counter. Damon is suddenly taunting whoever is throwing the objects into the house as you remain in cover with the younger Gilbert. Eventually, the throwing stopped, but then you smelled gasoline and heard a familiar voice. Klaus?
Against Stefanâs objections, you vamped from the kitchen to the front door and were met with an angry Klaus. His eyes go wide, clearly not having realized that you were here. âCharlotte,â he says with a serious tone, holding a newspaper and a petrol can.
âCharlotte get back,â Stefan calls out, and Klausâs angry eyes leave yours to glare at him for a short moment. Instead of listening, you step outside, no longer protected by Elenaâs house and Klausâ inability to enter, and are almost chest to chest with the angry hybrid in front of you.
You stare into his eyes, essentially challenging his rage. He narrows his eyes at you for a long moment before throwing the newspaper down onto the ground and putting the petroleum can down. You knew he wouldnât hurt you, and he just proved it. He cocks his head and smirks, impressed by your courage, and also moved by your trust in him. âWhat is your problem?â you ask angrily.
âWhere is the doppelganger?â he asks.
âWhat do you want with Elena?â
âWell, if you must know, it would appear that her life is tied to our new vampire hunter,â Klaus explains coldly. You narrow your eyes in shock.
âUh⌠So you plan to what? Kill her?â
âWhat do you care, love? You donât like the doppelganger anyway.â
âThat doesnât mean I want you to kill her!â
âRelax, love, Iâm not going to kill her,â he looks past you toward Stefan and Damon. âIf we make the new murderous version of Alaric think that we would harm Elena to kill him then maybe we can get the upper hand with him.â
âGreat plan, except that he knows we would never hurt Elena,â Stefan points out, approaching from behind.
âI donât see you lot coming up with a better plan. And I for one am not a fan of running from my enemies. I prefer to face them head onâŚâ he trails off with an arrogant, murderous look.
âElenaâs not here. Alaric took her and Caroline and heâs holding them hostage at the school.â You inform Klaus. You werenât exactly pleased with him, hence the shortness. He closes his eyes tightly in exasperation and sighs. Stefan steps outside behind you and you can feel his body heat radiating onto you from his close proximity to your back. You donât miss the intense glare Klaus shoots his way, but donât dare start anything right now.
The men start coming up with a plan to get the girls back on the porch and you went off to the side of the house to try calling Elena in an attempt to get Alaric to answer. In hindsight, this wasnât the best idea â because while your guard was down, someone was able to snap your neck.
You woke up in a classroom, tied to a desk chair. When you tried to move, your body burned and you quickly realized that the rope was covered in vervain. An evil chuckle made you look up and you locked eyes with Alaric. He looked so malicious, not like himself at all. To your left were Elena and Caroline, each in their own chairs. Caroline was in the same position as you, except with pencils in each of her hands and a rope in her mouth as well. You felt bad for her as you watched her wincing in pain. Alaric walked over to you and you lunged up, fighting the pain to try to snap his neck. In your weakened state, Alaric easily subdued you and slammed a pencil into your shoulder blade. You screamed in pain.
Alaric and Elena argued back and forth as he tried to get her to stake one of us, but she refused. Eventually, you spotted an opening when Caroline tried to get free. You took the chance while he was distracted and lunged up from the desk, throwing it at Alaric and using your elbows to break the rope. You took the pencil out of your bicep and threw it into Alaricâs neck, then took off running. You vamped away until you reached the furthest hallway and stopped to lean against a wall momentarily, catching your breath and trying to think. You knew you needed to figure out a way to rescue Caroline and Elena, but you werenât sure how.
A hand grasped your mouth out of nowhere and you were pressed into a larger, hard body. You resisted and tried to scream to no avail, before the person grabbing you said: âShh, itâs okay. Itâs okay. Itâs me. Itâs okay, youâre safe.â Klaus whispers in your ear, slowly removing his hand from your mouth.
He places his hand on your shoulder and leans into your ear: âWeâll save them. You go straight home. You stay inside. Do you understand?â You are too frazzled to respond, a combination of the fear, adrenaline and his hands on your body. He grabs your arms and turns you around to face him. âDo you understand me?â he demands, staring into your eyes with his intense blue ones, his hands on either of your arms.
He looks genuinely worried and uneasy, but you felt safe now that he was with you. You nodded after a moment to process what he actually said, relief washing over you.
âThank you,â you mutter graciously. He stares at you for another long moment, many different expressions washing over his face in a short moment, before he vamps away toward the direction you just ran from. You waste no time and vamp in the other direction out of the school and straight home as fast as you could, just like he told you to.
~~~
You waited anxiously in your house for what felt like hours, worrying about Klaus â and the others. Alaric was as strong as Mikael, if not stronger. Esther had given him immortality, so long as Elena was alive, he was. And he had an infinite white oak stake. It didnât get much worse than that. Not only would you be heartbroken if he did manage to kill Klaus, but that also meant that everyone from Klausâs bloodline would die too. Yourself included.
You texted everyone but no one had answered. You stared out the window for any sign, but nothing came. Alaric would be trapped in the school until sundown, but what about after the sunset? Would he come for you? The others?
Klaus: Are you okay?
You nearly dropped your phone in haste to open the text from him. It had been an hour since you got home, you were worried sick.
Yes, are you? Where are you?
You were not concerned with appearances or how you came off right now. You needed to know that he was safe. That everyone was.
Iâm coming over. Stay inside.
Your heart rate picked up, anxious about Klaus being over at your house for the first time. As stupid as it felt, you began cleaning up. Using your vamp speed to try to hurry, tossing things into the closet or picking up random objects. Klaus arrived a few minutes later, knocking on the door sharply.
You took a deep breath and walked over to the front door, where you could see him through the glass. Something that you hadnât even considered yet was whether or not you should let him inside. Youâd compelled your mother to cosign you on the lease last time she was here, so you did have the ability to invite him in if you wanted to⌠Was that a good idea? It could very well come back to bite youâŚ
You opened the door and glanced around for any signs of Alaric, before meeting his gaze. âAre you okay?â you ask lowly, scanning him for any signs of injury. He cocks his head to the side and stares at you for a long moment before responding.
âIâm quite fine. Though Esther certainly gave him loads of power,â he huffs angrily. The sun is low in the sky now and you know that as soon as it is fully down, Alaric will be leaving the school. Heâd be free all night until the sun rose again⌠What should you do? Thereâs no way youâll be able to sleep knowing heâs out there, his sole mission to kill all of the originals â not to mention he wouldnât care about who was collateral damage.
You didnât want to see them die. The others had already somehow managed to kill Finn, not that you cared â but all of the vampires from his line died with him. Which was the only reason you were apprehensive about even Kol dying. But the other three⌠Youâd grown to like them.
âAre you going to invite me in, sweetheart?â he interrupts your thoughts while changing the conversation, his signature smirk returning. How could he always be so confident and secure? Like there isnât a vampire set on killing him out there with an indestructible weapon and no way of being killed? Heâs certainly not calm right now, you can see that much, but heâs putting up a good front⌠Still, it puts you on edge. Did he have an ulterior motive?
âYes, Klaus, come inâŚâ his brows raise in surprise momentarily, seemingly somewhat taken aback by your sureness, but he outstretches a leg and places his foot over the threshold.
You take a step to the side toward the wall and allow him to walk inside, then pull the door closed behind him. Suddenly, you are standing very close to him, with your back nearly pressed against the wall. He seems much larger than you suddenly, even though he was only maybe four inches taller. His intense blue eyes burned through your soul and he actually took a small step toward you, making you back up into the wall.
You are stunned and you know that he can hear your heart pounding in your chest. His smirk remains and he brings his right hand up and brushes some hair out of your face. He grins as he tucks the hair behind your ear. His fingertips brush the skin of your cheek and you close your eyes in bliss, his brief touch warming your skin and erupting a fire inside of you. It was impossible to be subtle or conceal your emotions around this man. You force your eyes open and meet his gaze. âI can hear your heart hammering in your chest,â he taunts you, placing his right hand on the wall beside your head, pinning you. His body is radiating heat onto yours, but heâs not touching you.
âKlausâŚâ is all you can bring yourself to say. Words have escaped you, and all you wanted in this moment was for him to close the gap between your bodies. All logic and self-preservation went out the door the moment he touched your face. You were so incredibly attracted to this dangerous man.
He moistens his full lips after you say his name, leaning his face in closer so that there are only inches between you.
âHmm,â he murmurs with a smirk, raising a hand to your face and brushing some of your hair away from your eyes. The tension between you is so heavy, it makes it hard to breathe. He leaned even closer, brushing the tip of his nose against yours, and you lifted your head up to invite him to kiss you⌠And then his phone went off, startling you and completely killing the vibe. You quickly stand up straight and Klaus takes a step back, his face falling into a scowl as he pulls the phone out of his pocket. You literally have to catch your breath and put space between the two of you, feeling like you could not breathe so close to him.
He answers the phone, saying: âWhat, Stefan?â he snaps into the phone. His sudden mood change caught you off guard, but you wonder if it is because he was enjoying what had been transpiring between the two of you just as much as you had been. âFine,â he huffs before hanging up and returning his gaze to you. âGot to go, love,â his voice softened when he spoke to you, making butterflies erupt in your stomach.
âBut what about Ric?â you ask, reaching out to grab his bicep as he approached the door. He turned back to face you, glancing at your hand on his arm before smiling softly.
âIâll be fine. You stay inside, away from the windows. Do not go outside until after sunrise.â Klaus instructs you. He looks at you for a long moment then quickly leans in, pressing a chaste kiss to your cheek. Your breath hitches and he pulls back only enough to look into your eyes for another moment, then takes off out the door with his vamp speed. You stand there for a long moment, catching your breath from the intensity of what just happened before hastily closing the door.
I said what I said! Every single season has been awesome!! So much chemistry, great storytelling and interweaving subplots. The right amount of smut. Conflicts. UGH!! Every season that comes out I say that's my new favorite. I really loved the first. The second was even better. Then the 3rd was amazing because of the built up tension!! and then BENEDICT BRIDGERTON caught me by surprise!!! and the subplot with Francesca, Eloise's character development... The way Cressida and Araminta aren't "pure evil" and they touch on their stories... Dude.... I am in awe.
Usually series tend to get worse the more seasons there are, but so far... nope! Captivated! PHENOMENAL. 100/10! chef's kiss!
Hey everyone! So as some of you may know I have an Etsy shop where I sell a lot of fan related products and games (Twilight, TWD & TVD mostly).
I have recently posted a listing for Minimalistic Line Art! I am a beginner artist and would love to practice by making art for you guys!!
Here's what I'm asking.
You can send me a message or Ask if you are interested in having me draw something for you. I can do fan art (making it look like you are posed with your chosen character), or I can do personal photos such as a couple, family portrait, etc. I will attach some that I have done already below!
They are great for presents, clipart, stickers, profiles, ornaments, etc
If you're interested in helping me out, please send me a message!!! This also makes for a great present for your loved ones!
I will charge $1 per person that I am drawing. We can do it through Ko-Fi coffee tip jar, or through my Etsy listing. Thanks in advance!
Do you want one?
I'd love one!!!
I'm not sure what to do
