this is hands down the finest cheese i have ever consumed. it is so well aged that it is GRITTY with protein crystals. it is a cheddar but it is actually harder and flakier than a parmesan. it makes old shark look like fresh mozzarella. i could cry.

end notes: i ate approximately an 8th of the whole wheel and stopped when my wife reminded me gout is a thing. if i was a dragon id build my horde entirely out of this. i had my last piece ten minutes ago and im super thirsty but im avoiding drinking or swallowing because i want my mouth to keep tasting like this as long as possible. if I watched someone put poison in this i would probably just try to eat around it. if i was the president i would build a pyramid for every person involved in this cheese’s creation. my wife says my pupils are the size of theoretical particles rn and if anything shes understating it.

Most corporate icon worship comes from the already mentioned brand recognition, but I think there's also some intellectual-property-mindedness going on. You can write a deep and thoughtful story that makes an effort to deconstruct some aspect of society, but if that's what your customers are there for what happens when something else comes along thats a better deconstruction of that same idea? This problem doesn't exist with intellectual property, it's not legally possible for someone more creative to put vault-tec in their game, so Bethesda automatically has a monopoly over anyone who is interested in vault-tec, they de facto have the best vault-tec content on earth. If you convince your customers the most interesting thing about the fallout world is the things you are legally entitled to be the sole provider of, thats easy repeat business.

I would say it is Age of Sigmar revisionism. The Skaven had been described as singularly concieted and self centered. Only the individual is worthy and other Skaven are obstacles with every no-fur thing being nothing but food. They dont require the theft of other races technology or material they only care really about warpstone and utilize their own superior if dangerous technology. AoS also had the audacity to put them in the order of chaos instead of destruction, they want world of rats after all.
