HEADCANON. my absolute favorite thing about the STARK COFFEE verse is that, Sunny works the tiny starbucks on the complex alone - after all, she’s only serving those on the complex, which is a handful. However, there’s a reason Tony hired just her, I mean, they’ve never met but with a quick search he KNOWS her. And it’s because she’s so genuinely kind, like disney princess style. He’s looked in on surveillance feeds of her little shop from time to time, and she sweeps everyday ╭ even when no one comes in ╮ plus she sings to herself when she thinks she’s alone. she’s just k i n d. and tony knows that sometimes they all need that.

She’s delivering to some InGen meeting when she walks in to be greeted with HIM at the table. He’s THE GUY. The one everyone is talking about, the one who trains velociraptors. don’t stare, don’t stare, don’t stare - you’re totally staring.

Thick lashes flutter rapidly, trying to set the catering table as quickly and quietly as possible. why does he look like a GQ model?

Sugar pink lips curve upward at her own inner monologue, bill of her hat bobbing with the soft shake of her head. He TOTALLY thinks you’re a creeper, Sunny!

It was an early morning. Like, buttcrack of dawn, early. He had had a meeting earlier with Hoskins and some of the bosses, about the Raptor training. And now, they had this InGen meeting. He hated meeting. He just wanted to train the girls, learn what he could, and go home. Repeat the next day. But, they couldn’t give him that. Nope, he had to go to meetings, because he was in charge over there. Bah.

He moved towards the table, grabbing a cup and pouring himself a coffee. Something he didn’t often drink, except when he needed it. Spotting her looking at him, he smiled softly at her. The stir stick he used to stir in the sugar, ending up between his lips. “I don’t think we’ve met.” Stick out, tossed in the garbage, before he offered her his hand. “Owen Grady. Animal behaviorist. Velociraptors specifically.”

She’s trying NOT to be too creepy with the staring, eyelashes fluttering with quick blinks of reprieve. Delicate fingers take his hand, shaking it firmly - most in these meetings don’t think twice about speaking with the help, much less shaking hands.

❝Jess Cromwell. Tourist Behaviorist. Starbucks specifically.❞ Warm bourbon eyes gleam at him playfully, finally pulling her hand away to organize the stir sticks. ❝Most people call me Sunny,❞ she adds softly. Her following smile is warm, complementing the aforementioned nickname.
