Keep Your #Fitspo Respectful
1. If youāre using a photo of someone else, make sure that you have their permission to share the image and you properly credit them. Know & post their name! Donāt crop out their face and donāt make the image focus solely on a sexualized aspect of their body, like their sports bra or butt in booty shorts! And if possible, make it an action shot, so that weāre admiring their talent and skills instead of just their body. Treat this person like a person and not like an object that exists solely to motivate you.
2. Slogans should be uplifting and positive for everyone: Donāt use a slogan that builds you up while putting others down. Stuff like āNo excusesā or āYouāre lapping everyone on the couchā are just subtle ways of implying that other people are wrong for not choosing to exercise the way that you do. Avoid criticizing on someone elseās lifestyle altogether.
3. Working out should help you, not hurt you. Avoid the association between pain and exercise. You shouldnāt be puking during a workout! Or crawling! Or being in pain! Promote healthy and safe exercise models that actively discourage self-harm.
4. Stop associating health or fitness with a certain body shape. Not all thin people are āfit,ā and not all fat people are unhealthy. The focus of good fitspo should not always be on weight loss. People donāt inherently have to lose weight in order to be happy and satisfied with themselves. So we need to stop assuming that a larger person is a beginner or hates their body, and stop assuming that thin or muscular people are healthy or skilled.
Always remember that actual people are going to be seeing this image. Not all of them will want to workout, and thatās okay. Your #fitspo should be positive and uplifting no matter who stumbles across it.
If your fitspo makes people feel guilty, upset, demeaned or devalued, then something is wrong.

Hey everyone Iām so so sorry about coming to you guys again but once again weāre in a really big mess
Last month I made a post about how we were $400 Short on rent and you guys saved us from being evicted and we had a home for the holidays. I deleted the post because I didnāt want to receive any donations we didnāt need and now weāre in a bigger bind than last month.Ā It all started after Hurricane Harvey, theĀ months after were really hectic and we had a lot of family and friends from Corpus Christi and Rockport stay with us for a couple of weeks after. During the Hurricane all hotels basically everywhere in Texas where filled and alot of families had no where to stay! Taking them in was a no brainer but it really hit us financially. We had 4 familys and my 2 friends living in a 3 bedroom 2 bath. We didnāt have alot of space but we nailed some blankets to the roof in our living room and made dividers to give people at least a little privacy. We are in no way rich, and our family and friends that ending up staying here were in no position to help us with any expenses ( and Honestly we would never have asked them to help after everything they were going through ). The most reasonable solution for us was to take out loans to pay for food and After taking care of 14 people for weeks we couldnāt afford our rent in December and had already gotten an eviction notice. We had already sold alot of our stuff like Tvās and non-essentials but we still couldnāt afford our rent! Thatās when I made the original post about us being $400 short and you all saved us!
That brings us to our current situation. During those months, one of the ways we were able to keep our heads above water was by not paying our electric bill. Alot of electricity was being used those months and there was no way we could afford it, so we called the provider and set up this payment thing where for those months we didnāt pay the electric bill we could just spread that payment across a 24 month period and just pay a little more each month! We did that three times and then in december after our third time doing it we were informed that 3 was the limit on the number of times you could do that, so we had to start paying that month. That month we paid the bill but im not sure what happened and the payment got rejected! I was paranoid about it so I continuously checked and everything looked ok! It had never said that our payment was rejected! We thought everything was fine, but we got this in the mail.
We called the electric company and thats when they told us that the payment got rejected, but i had proof that we had started making the payments! I got confirmation numbers and emails!
Now because the payment wasnāt received we have to make the full amount payment or they will shut off our power on the 15th! When we saw the total we lost it.
Thereās no way we can afford that. We tried talking to the company but they said that we had to pay the full amount or they will shut off our power. After thinking about this total we checked and it is true. this is this amount due for those months with everyone here.
Please Tumblr, I know its not fair that i ask this again but Please help our family! we just paid this months rent and all together only have $70 and even if we did get our paychecks in time thereās no way. WE WORK MINIMUM WAGE! I know this was our mistake, we could have been more aware about the payment, but we had no choice! We didnāt have money and holding off on the payment was the only way we could get by! Paying our rent and car payments and insurance and food and everything else was ridiculous those months! We paid them by the skin of our teeth! None of us except the kids got anything for xmas ( and they only got clothes and board games!). We just canāt, Please help us. Once we get back on our feet I swear we are going to pay everything forward. I wanna go to college and change our lives by getting out of these types of problems! Iāll get a degree and a good job and Iāll pay everything forward! We just need some help now. Thank you for anything you can do.

Hey everyone. Just wanted to give an update on our situation. The last couple of days have been a little rough. we had our power shut off for 2 days and then finally were able to convince someone at the utility company to turn it back on after paying a down payment of $300 which was my than half my paycheck, unfortunately we still have to pay the full amount before the 29th or weāre gonna be in the same situation again.Ā
this is our total. Itās still more than our paychecks and our rent is also coming up and weāre just trying to get out of this rut that Hurricane Harvey put us though. Thank you everyone for your support so far, you donāt know how much it means to us. If your are able to reblog please do, if not i totally understand. We keep all of you in our prayers.Ā sending good vibes from Texas
I donated! please do
Thank you so much. You dont know how much this means and even a reblog is a blessing. Keeping everyone in our prayers
Stop being so afraid to be confident. Thereās actually a lot of great things about you. Donāt deny those things, embrace them. Youāre beautiful and smart and kind and you need to stop punishing yourself for acknowledging it and trying to believe it.
