I see a lot of people talking about the musical and I know anime preps use to believe that anything gay isn't on purpose but Musicals have long running history of being really gay.

For example them giving a rem a love ballad is intentional , the way Misa and Light never directly have a duet together and during stalemate, misa singing both causing Light and L to come to a halting stop.

This is a musical that is very cleverly playing with the medium and having a lot of fun with it to boot too.

And to me the most damning evidence of light and L romance is that they both parrallel Rems love ballad
