Due to recent issue with some people arguing about how ‘AO3 should have algorithm’ and such… I feel like these tweets need to be shared out more. Saw this tweets thread by chance and I had to admit it’s a great advice esp on fic writing or fanworks in general.

[Edit] Also since I noticed this post blowing up, if anyone ever tell you that AO3 doesn’t have a function to RECCOMMEND fics you like to others or read other people’s fic recs on the site point them to this post.

I'm not a PoC but this is just incredible, *exceptional*, culturally sensitive patient care, period. Absolutely should be shared with every healthcare professional I know.

We should always keep in mind that we are treating an entire person, not simply their condition, and the effects seemingly minor kindnesses can have on them long after they leave our care.

This often means moving to a new city where they won't get a paycheck for weeks. Black students are also less likely to have access to generational wealth to keep them afloat during school. We need more black doctors to because doctors are often untrained on how to diagnose conditions in black peoples vs white people and are taught black have a higher pain tolerance and just a whole bunch of other ridiculous things........ black people need black doctors

Carry On: Sam and Dean My Strength

I have never hidden how much SPN, the story of Sam and Dean played a role in pulling me out of a dark place. For 15 seasons the journey of those two brothers have been my journey, I cried with them, laughed with them and when their journey came to an end I was sad and happy that two souls that had been through so much could find peace and happiness and be united together in Heaven never to be parted again.

It gave me hope, things have been rough this last year and there were times that I felt like giving up, that everything was just hopeless then I think of Sam and Dean and how despite everything they were up against, everything and everyone they had lost they still found the strength to go on, to carry on and in the end got their greatest reward, each other.

Sam and Dean’s story to me is a story of hope and love. Even when it would be so easy to give up and let the darkness win, they found the strength to keep fighting in each other. I might not have my own Sam or Dean but I do have those I love and who love me that give me strength just as I give them strength. So while the journey of Sam and Dean might have come to an end, an end that still has me sobbing, they live on in my heart and will always be a part of me no matter how much time passes or I change. Sam and Dean played a part in who I am today and for that I will always love them.
