ever since i was a little girl i’ve always known i’m a big fan of alone time

As a wisened and ancient member of fandoms I felt like the discourse leading up to S8b was something I’d seen time and time again. Spirk, Drarry, Merthur, Sterek, Destiel, Klance and so many others had devoted followings but they were never going to be cannon. They were either derided by the writers or used in queerbaiting to promote audience interest but in the end it never paid off.

I thought that was where Buddie was heading, just another name on the list. But as the episodes tick by I’m actually starting to wonder whether 9-1-1 will be the one to break the cycle. And that means something, it means a lot to people who have watched all those other names tick by.

Fic idea:

Vaguely bodies inspired merthur slowburn. There’s fourish timelines, one during Camelot season 3-4ish, one say 60 years after Arthur’s death, one in Victorian England and one present day. Maybe a fifth shoved between post death and Victorian to fill in the gap.

But there’s a murder in each timeframe, same body found in the same place. And Merlin has to figure out what’s going on.

Time magic ensues.
