Katherine turned and grinned a little and moved to straddle him underneath the covers and took a hold of his hands in hers. “Today is Christmas Eve, Eve. Can you believe it? I can’t wait to give you your present but there’s no way I’m giving you any clues.” She said with a smirk, moving closer so their lips where just inches away from each other. “You can plead, you can beg, but I’m not going to tell you.” She giggled and sat back a little and ran her thumbs over the backs of his hands. “I really want to thank you for yesterday..I know it wasn’t the best of things to start a vacation with.” She bit her lip. “But I feel so better now that I have finally told you.” As she had drawn last night Katherine had a great time to think about things, about her life - Past and present and also about Stefan and what she knew about him and what she would learn about him in the future. She hoped that they would be together for a very long time, she wanted to be with this guy for the rest of her life in fact. Was it so wrong to think that when she was only in her late teens? No. No it wasn’t. “You’ve been there for me since we first met, you have never judged me, never been angry with me - You have just been patient, kind and caring and amazing.” She brought the back of his hand up to her lips and kissed his knuckles before moving so they were wrapped around his neck and she was hovering over him, legs either side of his. “What I’m trying to say to you is..well..” She took a deep breath. I LOVE YOU. That is all you have to say. Three words. Three amazing words. “You’re kinda amazing for putting up with me and my shit.” Dammit… Katherine was kicking herself mentally for not saying what she wanted to say. She leant forward and kissed him softly before she deepened it, holding herself to him as she straddled him. One day she would tell him what he meant to her, she didn’t know when it would be but she knew the day would come soon. For now Katherine just wanted to get lost in him, to make up for the emotional roller coaster that was yesterday. Today wasn’t the best time for massive revelations, she wanted to meet his friends and family, go out and pick a Christmas tree and help decorate it - She wanted to throw snowballs and make angels in the snow, she wanted to kiss Stefan senseless and laugh and smile. She wanted to have the best Christmas ever with the boy she was in love with besides her.

Stefan chuckled lightly and held her body close to him, grinning when she said that she wouldn’t give him any hints about what her gift to him would be. “Even if I try and…persuade you otherwise?” he smirked, cuddling her closer. He curled some of her hair behind her ear before linking their hands together when she did. “I don’t think it was a bad way to star our vacation,” he replied with a small shake of his head. “I’m glad you told me when you did….I feel even closer to you now than I ever thought I could,” he confessed with a small grin. “You on’t ever have to be afraid to tell me anything, Katherine. Okay?” He loved her, he really did. He was so in love with her that he almost didn’t know how to express it. He laughed softly when she called him amazing; “You’re the amazing one.” Stefan felt like she was trying to say something else but, he wouldn’t push. They were happy. They were together. And they were here and completely in love, and that was what mattered. The way they held each other, kissed, hugged, snuggled, made love…it was something that Stefan marveled at everyday. It was better than anything he’d ever been able to imagine. Now, that wasn’t to say that they didn’t argue every now and then. They did but, how they felt was stronger than that. He kissed her back gently before he deepened it when she did, one hand slowly sliding down to rest on her hips, and then her butt, while one hand rested on the side of her neck, keeping her body close to his. She was his, and he was hers. There was nothing that he wouldn’t do for this girl. He wanted things to always be Katherine and Stefan. Nothing else mattered after that. He was going to make sure that they had the best Christmas ever. “The house is going to be quiet for a little while…” he mumbled against her lips before bringing his kisses down to her neck before kissing her lips again, not being able to stay away.
