pioneered “swinging the classics” and made the equivalent of a million dollars a year doing it.

went to Hollywood but refused to be cast as a “singing maid.”  Demanded and got control over her casting, her wardrobe, and how footage featuring her was cut.  

refused to perform in segregated venues and led charges for integration in several northern cities, notably Spokane.  

There are some points need to be highlighted:

1. The student alliances are NEVER involved in burning public facility, committing violence, or provoking the deeds to do so.

2. Their solemn goal is to negotiate with government, communication, and that's it.

3. It's some street gangs that was paid to disguised as student (wearing their campus attributes) that start provoking the police by beating, throwing molotovs, or burning public facility, end up with some violence action (some of you already heard about the late Affan, the first victim during the protest, and he's not even part of the protester, he was just completing his food delivering order)

4. You know what's the plot twist? Those street gangs ARE PAID by some people from the government. How the people know? because it's always like that, since 1998 ( <- you can search what happened in Indonesia in 1998). The goal? Is to create a chaos situation, that's enough for the president to put the whole country in a protocol called Darurat Militer.

5. Darurat Militer is when military takes over the whole country, they have the full authority to take everything from people, including life, without question and without procedure.

6. In Darurat Militer, the people are not allowed to question everything the government & military do. It was meant to protect us during war, but now it's a weapon to silence us so the government can continue protecting the corruption they do.

Trivia:

On August 30-31, midnight, they shut down the electricity in Kwitang (a region in Jakarta) and the police were ordered to start firing everyone in the area. I mean everyone, students, online drivers, civilians, everyone in the radius.

During the same time, any live feature on social media WAS BANNED, so the people were completely blinded.

Also, during that time, some health workers & journalists are among the victims. Yes, they attacked those people too.

Up until today, the protest is still going, and the street gang that tries to provoke people to commit violence is still paid. Recent update also tells that they just threw a molotov to an academic area, a campus, and police were sent.

Even the Dean of the university the gang attacked recently isn't even on people's side. The Dean told press that it was the action of THE PROTESTERS, and denied that there were provokers.
