#TBT to degree students training here last term - looking forward to getting them all back in September!

…was seeing two characters I shipped before I knew what shipping was share an onscreen kiss.

That pair was Goliath/Elisa from Gargoyles.

They were my first OTP, and they were canon.

I said “they’re gonna fall in love” the second they met…

…and they did. Slowly.

I’m looking for books and movies and stories, even fanfics, where the main character is friends with the ‘monsters’. Unlikely friendships. Teaming up with the ‘bad guys’ and learning that everyone’s the same and character development.

These are my faaaaavorites because it’s always about having a deep emotional connection with your friends (which my antisocial ass likes) instead of just being friends because of proximity and mutual interests (which my antisocial ass is kinda eh about).

Requests made were:

- Broadway and Elisa hanging out (watching a movie here. Probably some Mystery Thriller. Cagney can come too)

- Puck with Alexander while Xanatos calling out that it’s his son’s bedtime (Puck and Xanatos look like 2 Dads here tho let’s be honest that’s basically what they are with Owen being babysitter most of the time…)

- Demona and Elisa fight!

- Goliath/Elisa love. Of course.

This is James. 1stLt. James R. Zimmerman to be exact. Two years ago on November 2nd, 2010, he was KIA in Afghanistan. I grew up thinking he was invincible and to me he still is. He was hit by a sniper right between his shoulder and his peck. Even after he was hit he continued to give his men commands and lead them into safety before he finally collapsed. He died in the hospital a day later.
