Titus, I don't know what your father told you, or what you're thinking, but I haven't said anything about you to those who don't already know. Maybe Jude told him? I didn't do this, though. And there's no use in being mad at me for that.

I saved up some cash while I was in the muggle world. But that fund is slowly running out. I had enough for a few more months, but I needed a job anyway.

To be honest, I wasn’t even really planning on going. I mean, nobody’s even asked me, and I’m pretty sure nobody will, but she says it’s kind of expected of me to go, you know? And there’s just going to be so many people there, and I really don’t do well in large crowds. I’m not even sure if any of my friends are going, and if they are, they probably all have dates and I’m just going to be standing against the wall, shuffling back and forth, and there are far better ways to pass my time than being a social failure.

To be honest, dear, I don't think anyone wants to go. If we don't go, though, bad things could possibly happen to us and no one wants that, do they? What I'm going to do is make my token appearance and then escape back to the comforts of my home to watch some movies. Plus it's always fun to dress up, right? It's not every week we get to wear ball gowns and stuff.
