for someone with grand ambitions towards the gods, pantalone chooses a mundanely human method. all the blasphemers we see in genshin are obsessed with divine power; even the heavenly principles took the power of the 3rd descender. pantalone is unique where his ambitions are no less but his methods are alien to everyone else, making him perhaps the more heretical of them all.

thinking about a world where pantalone gets a vision after dottores death. pantalone, who has never been recognized by the gods. pantalone, who has dedicated his life to proving he is better than this. this pantalone gains the recognition of the gods after the one man he had loved and had replaced the gods in his life has died. i think he’d take it as a form of mocking but it’s something that erases his biggest insecurity. yet it comes too little too late and all the bitter hate in his heart can’t be washed away, not after dottores death.

pantalone being someone who believed in gods and desperately wished for their help but were never granted it…. until he met dottore and his life took a turn. thus dottore is his new god and that’s where they found his shared ideals…. they make me insane
