also while im venting about childhood trauma: i hope everyone who makes autistic kids doubt their reality breaks their foot immediately. I don't think we talk enough about the hell that is being an autistic child who knows damn well when something will be a bad sensory experience (specifically food in my case) but everyone in your life insists you don't know what you like and forces you into traumatizing situations "for your own good" because there's no way you could be able to trust your senses.
