First movie: Just Hatched to —> Hatchling age / Toddler aged so 3-5 years old

Second Movie: Terrence and Matilda had gotten together in the first movie, then proceeded to:

- Get Engaged

- Get Married

- Produce their firstborn

- Produce 3 more eggs by the time 3-5 years had aged their first daughter

INCLUDE THE BLUES….

Establish exactly how much time had passed between movie 1 and 2

Rework Red’s character arc and characterization

Add in more friend bonding time

Establish Bird and Pig Rivalries BUT STILL rework them to be moreee,, reluctant, but nessesary to beat the big bad

Establish WHY the Pigs wanted to eat the Bird’s eggs

REWORK SILVER. Both in design and in character because of reasons

Reframe Red and Silver’s romance to come across as more natural. Like platonic-leaning romantic-ish

Tweak Eagle Island a bit to be more interesting and a slightly bigger threat

Tweak Pigs technology to be more hand built for story and visual reasons

GIVE THE SIDE BIRDS (Matilda, Terrence, Hal, Bubbles) MORE SCREENTIME AS THE NEW PLOT B

Make it slingshot heavy >_o

MAKE THE BIRDS ANGGGRRYYY

Include just a smidge more mighty eagle lore if I can!

Remove dabbing and baby shark.

Anyone else think that the inclusion of silver low-key made Red a bit (a lot) dumber in the second movie?

Like yeah, that girl is a genius and she’s obviously much much more methodical than Red, who in the first movie, really made shit up on the fly to go and save his eggs because of the plot.

But uhhh.. you’re telling me that homeboy’s ENTIRE plan to break into a frigid technology EMPIRE… that can both create and launch ICE BALLS about the size of Mars’ moons…. Was to just go in, beat the weapon, and get out..?? (Word by word btw. Nothing more than that I swear to god)

Like.. I can make up a lot of excuses for him: maybe he really did just make it up on the fly in a rush just to have something to say and pretend he’s leading, which led to him not relying on his teammates for more information (I’m hinting at Leonard here, who’s technology can fly back and forth from eagle island, but then again, beef, I get it). It makes a looootta sense that way if I just make up stuff to cope with the second hand embarrassment..

BUT THEN SILVER COMES IN, and states all these really pretty freaking important questions that literally anyone else on the team could’ve come up with.

Mind you, this is a mission to save not one, but TWO islands worth of civilians. I actually made a blurb in some poor soul’s YouTube comment section, but one of the things I state is:

I get it, he's (Red’s) under pressure with the survival of his island and his own insecurity that if he doesn't prove that he can be their hero, he'll be kicked to the curb and be alone again (WHICH THE ISLAND CONSTANTLY AGREES WITH) but wow. Every morsel of common sense had genuinely feathered out of his noggin compared to Silver.

TO be fair, she is a methodological super genius and Red does many things on the fly in the first movie, but if you were to take first-movie Red into the team's place with someone else like Leonard stating a very simple plan (get inside, destroy weapon, escape), he would ALSO be calling bullshit and tell him that EVERYONE'S in DANGER and they needed something that'd have a better success rate!

In the first movie, Red can also state some really basic yet insightful questions like how he did in the scene where the management group is out painting while the pigs are touring and Red points out how suspicious their ongoing actions are compared to their words.

Yeah, his suspensions were heavily biased because of the fact the pigs destroyed his house, but he does make a points that aren’t just ‘if you good, why no fix my house’. He doesn’t just take face value information and synthesis any plans or problems with that basic information, he’s capable of expanding and thinking of other facets of a situation!

Like Silver!

In order to make plans, you need to solve step by step questions: mode of transportation? what do we know already? what do we have available? And Red in the second movie can’t even do THAT.

This is just one out of a handful of examples Silver really makes Red look and feel stupid, but it’s my best example. Love Silver, but the connection between her character and the sudden drop of intelligence stats left in Red was distracting, actually.
